Took the wife and kid to this restaurant. I was very pleased. Child friendly and gave suggestions for my daughter. Overall very impressed. Would definitely recommend this to anyone

This is my regular Chinese restaurant in central London. I think the food's very good and the service is friendly with no hint of impatience or edge. I have taken guests on several occasions, including Hong Kong Chinese a couple of times, and they've always enjoyed the food. Give it a try.

I often find that the service at Chinese restaurants is lacking even if the food is good. Thankfully this place gets both right: friendly, helpful staff and a diverse menu that features more than your standard fayre. All the dishes were tasty though not spectacular.

We were in London for the day, and opted for a meal in Chinatown before heading to King's Cross & homeward. I did some research online beforehand, and we decided to try Yming - which is a little off the main Gerrard Street, and in a much quieter location on Greek Street. The previous reviewers were absolutely spot-on with their... More

I loved it, the tastiest Chinese meal ever in a relaxed, elegant ambience. The staff were cool & calm, not in your face, just friendly, the food was delicious, a great pre-theatre choice.

We went with a group of friends and had our baby boy asleep in his push chair. We had been here many years ago and had had a good meal so we decided to go back. This place accepted reservations and allowed children on a Saturday night. The place is decent, the service good and the food very good. Every... More

Wandered in at 4.45pm on a Friday when it was completely empty but told we needed to be finished by 6.00pm as they had a number of bookings for later. We opted for the set menu deal where you get a choice of six starters and six main courses for £12. We had starters of spring rolls and ribs were... More

We visit London a couple of times a year and always enjoy Chinatown. It is fair to say that a lot of the larger restaurants and a bit 'conveyor belt like' and its quite a quick experience. We had read great things about this restaurant and were not in any way disappointed! Having been unable to get in on a... More

We visited yesterday during the Chinese New Year festivities, in between Parts One and Two of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. We explained we had limited time in between our shows and the service (and food) was spot on- speedy, without being rushed, attentive without being intrusive. Just perfect. We had a set menu, comprising of mixed starters including... More

First visit here and will definitely be back. Tried many restaurants in Chinatown over the years but this is the best. Warm and friendly greeting from the staff when we arrived and polite, attentive service throughout our visit. The food was superb!! Cauliflower starter and deep fried squid starter along with fiery young lamb and double-braised pork for mains are... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
