Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fiona was shockingly rude, and the food was good, but nothing special and certainly doesn’t warrant the prices. I would have left, but I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. I could write so much more, but that about sums it...up, and I do not want to spend another minute thinking about our experience.More

Excellent food would highly recommend. Attentive staff and just a lovely little restaurant. The chicken pie and trout were delicious. As was dessert!

I struggled with myself whether to give this place one or two stars. But have to be honest as I had a real aversion to Ffiona's and felt that I wanted to run out the moment I was in there. It was pitch black inside...with only candle lighting. The menu was written on a black-board and there was no menu given out at tables. Old fashioned hand-written receipts and very standard semi-cold fare! Have to try and find some good points here, as one of waitresses was smiling and pleasant. But didn't think it was worth ridiculous price!More

Went for brunch with my family on Saturday lunchtime before visiting an exhibition at Kensington Palace. I had the vegetarian breakfast along with a lunchtime Bloody Mary. The food was plentiful, with a variety of items, and wonderfully cooked. I enjoyed it very much. However...the Bloody Mary was something else, it really was the BEST BLOODY MARY I HAVE EVER TASTED and I consider myself a bit of an expert having tried many over the years. I told Fiona this and she asked me if I would personally say this to the lovely young guy who had just learned to make them, which I did of course. I thanked them both very much as they are made to Fiona 's exclusive secret recipe. If you love Bloody Mary's you must try Ffionas along with some of their excellent food and fantastic service.More

We celebrated our 25 th anniversary at Ffiona’s, and it did not disappoint! The ambience is cozy, the staff are attentive and helpful, and Ffiona herself is a force of nature. We had the paté as a starter, then the fish stew and the chicken...kyev(lives up to its reputation as”best in the world”) and finished sharing bread and butter pudding and the lemon cheesecake . Every bite, a delight. If you don’t go here, you’ll miss something very special !More

I have been going to Ffiona’s since it was first recommended to me by a flight attendant in 2016. Dinner or brunch… solo or with family or friends … my meals are always a highlight of my trips to London. The food is consistent great...- don’t miss the lamb (so good), the fish stew, the aubergine fritters, the parmesan greens salad, and any special - dinner or brunch. Save room for dessert - fly away light as air cheesecake, bread and butter pudding with custard, or sticky toffee pudding. You’ll often be greeted by Ffiona herself - ask her about her curated menu. Conveniently located a short walk from Kensington High Street, this is a don’t miss stop. Tell Ffiona you saw Aimee from Florida’s review ;-) when you go.More

To still find this place after so many years and still have the Amazing Ffiona still doing an amazing job with this restaurant was such a surprise. Kensington has changed so much since 2020. Almost all the shops and restaurants have disappeared but this classic...and simple yet unique restaurant still stands and one can clearly see and taste why so. Chicken Kiev still out of this world! And do not miss Sunday specials. Oh gosh was it a treat to get our family to Fiona’s and have them try Fiona’s. Was also great to see Fiona as well! I wish more restaurants would be as homely as Ffiona’s is and has been for so longMore

This charming, eccentric restaurant looks wholesome and generous, but the food is not in keeping with the home cooked appeal. Chicken Kiev was creamy, not buttery and pre-opened. The fish stew was watery and dull.

LOVELY PEOPLE who living in London AND LONDON TOURISTS PLEASE DONT STEP INSIDE THIS PLACE AS THE PERSON CALLED FIONA IS DANGEROUSLY WAYYY TOO RUDE YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE MONEY AND GET ANGRY BECAUSE OF AN UNPROFESSIONAL LADY WHOS DISGUSTING DISRESPECTFUL AND HAS NO...MANNERS I beg everyone to not book that place as the manager I suppose Fiona introduced herself needs a real costumer service training on how to treat people over the phone and talk to them. Of course make them feel welcome and greatly appreciate even though there is no eye contact guest should be feeling comfortable. She didn’t do that what so ever !!!! She almost tried to beat me up over the phone and shouted like I was her biggest enemy when at the end of the day she doesn’t even know me. I tried to book a table for 6 people in that place … which it was for my hotel guest. “Fiona” answered the phone call very angry and unprofessional on the top of that she hung up on me twice for UNKNOWN REASON which it is so disrespectful to do that. Unacceptable!!!!!!! The way she spoke to me it’s so bad and unfair I felt like I was bothering her trying to check a reservation for my guest. Unfortunately she has to be reported to HR ASAP!!!!! I am EXTREMELY surprised she’s having a job STILL… SHE IS VERY VERY RUDE AND UNEDUCATED I hope she will be fired and lose her job … I will not recommend this place to no one and I will Make sure this will be Known all over social AND HR PLATFORMSMore

🍽️ Fionna's Restaurant in the UK is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped in, I was enchanted by its cozy ambiance and attentive service. But what truly stole the show was the exquisite cuisine. Each dish was a masterful blend of flavors, highlighting...the chef's skill and dedication to quality ingredients. Whether it was the succulent seafood or the perfectly cooked steaks, every bite was a delight. Fionna's is a culinary experience that lingers in your memory long after the meal is over. A must-visit for food enthusiasts seeking a taste of culinary perfection! 👌🍷🍴More

Once again Ffiona's pulls out all the stops... came for dinner Wed 27th Sept, 2023 and we pre ordered the Grouse. This was my first time to taste Grouse but not for my date who has eaten it many times over the years and has...been on shooting parties to shoot Grouse. Anyway, it was served with game chips and bread sauce and we ordered greens and red cabbage as sides. Absolutely delicious. The house red wine is excellent, the bottle went down very well. Ffiona is the perfect host and makes your evening very special... thanks Ffiona xMore

We wanted somewhere in Kensington to fit in with the rest of our plans for the day and this place came recommended. Reserved a table beforehand which was waiting for us when we arrived. Good choices on the menu and staff were utterly lovely, very...attentive and genuine. No problems with changes to a dish to accommodate my fussy husband. Best of all we got a lovely surprise at the end as I'd let them know it was our wedding anniversary that day. Absolutely loved it and we were genuinely touched by this gesture. Can't wait to return and try more off the menu, especially in an evening as the chalkboard was full of delicious dishesMore
