First time I have visited Cay Tre in several years. I was truly impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the service. The food tasted excellent too. I enjoyed a Large Bowl (Hanoi BBQ Pork Vermicelli Rice Noodle) with Imperial Spring Rolls. Highly recommend...More

The waitress was really nice and the food came quickly. I had the lemongrass chili, which was disgusting. The sauce and the rice tasted good, but the chicken was full of fat and kinda raw. I still had to pay the full bill.More

Reasonably busy for a Monday night which was a good sign. Colleagues wanted to come back here after a good meal last time. I seldom have Vietnamese so was unsure what to order and waitress gave some guidance to popular dishes. Ordered veg/meat spring rolls...More

Ok, since the general manager (Maria) cannot listen to her customer, I guess I'll have to tell to a greater audience. Tonight ordered a classic beef pho and some spring rolls from Cay Tre Hoxton via a delivery/courier app. (However I've been told that the...More

homemade Vietnamese food, very authentic place. Very simple restaurant, so not suited for your date night;-). Good prices for London. Seems like a backpacker place.

A short walk from our AirBNB on Curtain Road - we got there in time just before the dinner rush and ordered the special pho (beef everything). Overall great value (I had to take away and ate the rest the next day), though I wish...More

Very impressed with my meal at Cay Tre in Old St, although the place is not particularly cosy and the decor is a bit basic, it was also very noisy. (You definitely need to book- clearly a very popular place!) However despite the decor and...More

Came here with my boyfriend to have a late dinner. We didn't book a table, didn't even hear about this restaurant before, we were just walking down Dean Street and thought ''let's try this one''. This was a great choice. Our starter: summer rolls and...More

The food itself here is pretty good, but we once found a hair in our pho and the waitress just kept on insisting it was not a hair...Annoyingly they still had a BYOB sign up outside but actually once we sat down they said it...More

Description
Cay Tre is Hoxton's favourite Vietnamese restaurant, small but perfectly formed. Here you'll find a fresh and creative approach to Vietnamese cuisine that we pride ourselves on. Cay Tre is bustling with life and full of the heady aromas of great Vietnamese cooking. We're passionate about food, ensuring what you get is an authentic taste of Vietnam using fresh, well sourced ingredients from the British Isles, wherever possible. We have a saying at Cay Tre, which is 'to make the simplest of dishes taste good you need the ingredients of time and passion' and you can be assured we have plenty of both. Every dish, from our street food snacks to our a la carte delicacies, is lovingly prepared with this saying in mind. Take our classic beef Pho for example, which takes over 18 hours to make! Likewise, our wine list is carefully selected by renowned wine writer Malcolm Gluck to match the aromatic dishes on the menu. What's more, if you're looking for food on the go, we offer a Vietnamese takeaway service and can deliver promptly to your home or office.
