Went to the Rileys Sports Bar which used to be the Sports Cafe. This was part of a London Tour I did recently (see my other reviews). I wanted to go here was it was more nostalgia trip than anything - I used to go to the Sports bar back in the 90s and really loved it – hanging out... More

No wonder it's empty on a Saturday afternoon. Staff don't care and don't even speak English. Only have 3 channels. Show formula 2 instead of horse racing and can't even change if you ask them. Pathetic

It was not busy, but service very slow. We had 4 drinks 3 of which were pints and 1 wine with splash of soda £25!!! And they wanted to give us the drinks in plastic glasses bearing in mind we are all responsible adults. Would not go there again

Had a few drinks with friend after work and also chilled out , decent evening , staff were friendly and humorous which is good in a bar of this type. Decoration decent and fitting for a sports bar.

So, I went online on Sunday to see if I could find a place to watch the football after the marathon with my 14 yr old son. Checking out the website of this place, sure thing, no problem kids could come in and as long as they were accompanied by an adult at all times would be allowed to stay... More

Nice bar, friendly staff with contemporary music. Ideally get a main road facing table so you can see the world go by. Good collections of beers, but not a place to drink alone. Ideal for groups and particularly on weekends. Can be quite dead on week days.

2nd visit here. Won't lie it is mainly because it is right opposite Haymarket theatre where we were heading off to. Nice enough place & staff nice but food basic & quite a lot not available that evening. Mainly a place people go to see sports & drink which it is more then suitable for

Went to Rileys one Friday night before the theatre. It was empty which should have been a warning for us! The restaurant is dirty, the loos are disgusting and the food is bad. We ordered steak wraps which turned out to be inedible as the steak was very gristly. The wine ordered was warm and the service slow. There are... More

Everything was lacking from appearance once inside, food and staff. Garlic bread came with my meal, except it wasn't garlic on the bread it was sweet chilli sauce!! Pasta was really salty so not able to really eat much of it though, the chicken that was with it was just about edible. Did tell the waiter, he said he would... More

Just wanted to say a massive thank you, we booked a table for 9 x people to attend this Saturday and the staff in the entire place couldn't be more accommodating, even when more of our group turned up without notice, This went from the waitresses to management who even came and said hello. expected. We attending between 1:00pm -... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
