We visited the place with our baby and I must say we've never felt this unwelcome ever. On arrival there was noone around to offer us a table. We randomly chose one but when a waiter finally appeared he welcomed us with words "let me move you away from here" because "it gets busy here at lunchtime". He took us... More

Just recently went back to this Wagamama that was my first many years ago. Went with my family for a simple dinner just after arrival and first couple of hours of shopping. I liked the fact that they have re-shuffled their menu a bit (okay, maybe I wasn't there for a while), and that they have a separate kids menu.... More

Went here twice recently - pretty impressed both times. Both were business lunches but more of a social gathering to celebrate new joiners or events. Good food, service was even better

Like most chains there is a difference in the quality and taste in their products and food. I was told by a local chain (Abokado) that chains for a receipe. Whilst they may do - they don't seem to conform. On occasions I get take out here but this is the last time I do. Quality and taste poor. Take... More

While visiting the UK, our London colleagues invited me to dine at this chain which is popular through Europe and Australia. I had never tried Wagamama, and I was surprised at how good the food was. We were seated at the long picnic/bench style tables for common seating. It is very crowded during the lunch hour, and you sit sometimes... More

The only thing that drags this Wagamama down is that it is in a basement with no windows which is why I rate it as average. I had my ususal, katsu curry, which was a typical katsu curry from Wagamama. Staff were all very friendly.

Dry or oily. Horrible. Never again. They were very apologetic but not maintaining high standards of this usually really good chain. Manager apologised but kitchen should have more pride than to send this out

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The restaurant is stuck in the basement a of building on Fleet Street. The atmosphere is, well, there is no atmosphere. It was actually a depressing little place with no windows. I would have walked out but it was late, I had just gotten off a flight, this place was... More

Maybe it was a bad day but there was a 1.5 hour time difference between our first main course arriving and the last (party of 10). Had to ask for a beer 7 times. Food itself was bland and nothing special. They did knock quite a bit off the bill.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
