Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We arrived a little early for our lunch reservation. We were shown to our table in an empty restaurant and were seated by the lavatory! Why? In fairness when we asked to move we were accommodated. The meal was OK. Actually a little underwhelmed by...the food which came with a hefty £300 price tag for two for a fairly modest meal. Lovely to eat out in Mayfair but I’ve had better.More

I just had lunch here today and it was my first visit. I really had a very lovely lunch. I had a trio of fish tartare for starter and my dining partner and I shared a sea bream with veg and chips which was fabulous....Service was attentive but not cloying.More

Menu completely lacking of gluten free options. Unless you choose a grilled steak …which I wasn’t! Even the risotto had gluten in the souvenir! I heard of! And I am Italian. Lack of sensitivities, silly excuses to justify the menu and rude waiter totally insensitive...about the issue. and this in 2024! Terrible and shameful.More

Lovely Italian restaurant with friendly staff. Unfortunately we could not hear each other speak as the music was so loud, I wouldn’t mind if they were playing soft Italian music I would be right at home. We ordered a selection of foods from pasta, risotto,...pizza & meat. It was all delicious but extremely over priced for the amount you are given. Note to chef, lay off the salt!!More

The waiters were rude and the service was bad. The music was very loud and we couldn’t talk to each other. The starter was very salty and couldn’t be eaten. We ordered a medium rare beef, but we got it well done - like well...well done (super brown). We paid 15% in service charge, which we thought was way too much - with no explanation why (it’s hard to understand service charges when you’re not from the country). When the party downstairs started, we weren’t allowed to sit anywhere and there was 30 minute que to get a drink and the bartenders ignored us. All in all it was a very disappointing evening, and a waste of money on our behalf!More

Came here for a friend’s birthday celebration. The restaurant looked very impressive but the food was very disappointing! We were offered focaccia bread as we sat down but what we got was nothing like focaccia! It was more like Indian chapati! It also came with...mixed olives that we didn’t order. We were charged £6 for it. A friend of mine ordered Milanese (calf) which costs £42 but the quality was so poor. The portion was huge but totally tasteless. Being dairy intolerant, I ordered dairy free seafood risotto but I was sure it wasn’t as I had a very upset stomach after the meal. This place is totally overrated in my opinion. There are far better places in Covent garden where you can get amazing Italian food. Watch out for extra charges especially if you didn’t order it - plus the extra service charge on top of the 15% service charge! Will not be returning.More

Food was actually lovely however i have deducted 2 stars as waiters were not up to the standard. One seemed a bit sick with nose running and i don’t fancy going out and coming back home with a cold/flu/covid! The other one was quite forgetful...and mixed up our coffee orders with another table. Yet you do pay 15% service charge!More

One of my colleagues suggested this restaurant for a work lunch. The decor was lovely, it felt pretty special. The prices however are extremely high, no surprise in Mayfair, and for this I expect something special. This was not that special. The service was basic,...not particularly friendly, no smiles. No bread or olives etc bright while we were looking at the menu. We had starters and mains which were decent although extremely salty, and my fettuccine was very thick. I would expect a lot more refinement for a £40 plate of pasta. Overall nothing really wrong with it, but you could eat similar food for a third of the price and a better welcome at plenty of other places.More

We went to Boccocino for a business lunch. The food selection was good and so was the service. When the bill came, they'd added 15% for service which is on the high side but was okay. The waitress then said, "Are you going to add...anything for my service". I said "15% is already added". She then said "Well that has to be shared by the kitchen staff too and so it doesn't go far". She embarrassed me in front of my client and I felt pressurised into adding an additional 10%. It was an uncomfortable experience for me and will put me off going again.More

Beautiful restaurant, amazing fresh food, very friendly staff. Went there on Friday evening, they had sax playing together with the DJ. Absolutely loved Aubergine Pizza and Mushroom Pappardelle. Definitely coming back soon.

I recently had a great time at this restaurant with a friend! We loved the cocktails and the tasty shrimp pasta. Our friends recommended it, and we also read some good online reviews. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and charming. But, I noticed some unfair...negative reviews online. It's sad to see people leaving inaccurate feedback. It made me wonder if some of those negative comments were from competitors. I hope others will give this restaurant a fair chance based on their own experiences because my visit was really enjoyable.More

Second time here and hopefully not the last. As before, their pasta is incredible - you’re really missing out if you don’t order a dish! This time we went for the seafood options (linguine with Dorset crab, and the fettuccine with swordfish, mussels and octopus)....Hard to choose between them as they were both absolutely delicious - and better than the pasta I’ve eaten in Italy during many visits. Also enjoyed the lamb cutlets and my wife loved the roasted octopus. Generous portions and friendly service from our waiter Diego, and a classy but casual environment. Lighting was a little dim to read the menu but maybe that’s just me getting old! The Sicilian canolo was a great way to finish although I’m still thinking about the amazing pasta again!More

As part of my 65th birthday, we booked as a family before going onto a show. Unfortunatley our day was somewhat ruined by the prescence of a large rat in the basement restaurant, alerted staff who were not overly reactive and we had to ask...to be moved to another table as the rat had crept behind a neraby floor mointed pot. None of us felt at ease eating the remainder of the main course, before leaving the manager did approach us to say they would not charge us which, in my opinion was the correct thing to do but it certainly put a damper on my day. However, what food we did eat was 1st class.More

The ambience was great, but the hostess was not welcoming instead she was dismissive after realising I had made a mistake with the reservation. The restaurant wasn’t busy so we got a table, the waiters were okay and helpful but the food was underwhelming, the...pizzas we got were quite salty which was odd, wine was average for the price.
