Just happened upon this looking for some outdoor seating. Food was amazing and the service even better. We asked them to make the prawn vindaloo a little less hot and it was perfect! Henry was so friendly! We will recommend to anyone in the area!

I go to Haandi once or twice a year when travelling to London. It's always very good, but this visit was exceptional. Meeting friends from the USA, not seen in 20 years, we were offered a private room area. Sara, our main waitress, was superb....Attentive, informative and amusing by turn, she went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. We asked for her advice on selections of starters and main sides: her recommendations were perfect. The food was, as usual, amazing. Chennai chicken highly recommended (years ago, they did a chicken chettinad which was my favourite dish, please bring it back?). I highly recommend Haandi in Knightsbridge. It seems to get better every time I go!More

Excellent meal and service. Chicken Tandoori, Tikka, and Lamb in spicy curry sauce. All dishes prepared well and delicious. Service excellent. Definitey recommend!

This is worst restaurant saw in my life.Not recommend any body because they cheated.I ordered to 30GBP dinner but they demand to me 49GBP.Please avoid that type restaurant.Food disappointed

We visited on a recommendation. Disappointingly an average restaurant for vegetarian food. Tadka daal - lack of spices, it was more of a eating boiled daal. Malai kofta - rich gravy but tasteless. Aaloo chat - pathetic, full of tamarind chutney but again no combination...of spices. Few initial trials with food had put us off. Mocktail was badly prepared - a strong sweet drink with pineapple and coconut, had to ask two times to redo it, but failed to create the real taste.More

In a little square (Cheval) very close to Harrods this well taken care of Indian restaurant is a lucky find. Carefully prepared spicy and aromatic plates were amazingly tasty and well spaced tables make for comfort. All the dishes our group tried were absolutely delicious...and the staff were friendly and helpful and could even advise us in Spanish. Exceptionally good!More

Today I was with my friend in this restaurant, there is no service label, there is no attention to the customer. Then we asked to calculate the check separately, and he divided it in half, although we had to pay different amounts. We visited Haandi on the occasion of Queens Elizabeth funeral after the ceremonies had finished. We offered toasts for the new King & Prince of Wales on their assession to their new titles. This restaurant has a friendly village feel , created by the number...of regular guests who live locally and dine there. We invited one local, a wonderful lady in her 90’s to join us which she did. What an interesting lady she turned out to be recalling us with her life story! The food and the service were outstanding. Can you imagine our surprise when we came to settle the bill we found that a anonymous diner had left £100 donation towards our bill. An amazing, kind gesture which made our day. There are such lovely people out there-an amazing random act of kindness! So, an eventful day made even more special by a strangers kindness.More

This food was absolutely AWFUL! I've tasted better currys when making them myself and they are bad! This is not what I expect from such a "highly" talked about restaurant, food took longer than anticipated normally wouldn't bother me but there were only 2 families...in there, it seemed as though all the attention was faced on the people in the back lounge, unless money was being spent the staff didn't want to know. Menu choices wasn't good at all, nothing I'd ever eat at a Indian restaurant, ended up with a chicken tikka masala which I would not normally eat out of choice when eating in at a restaurant! Food was ridiculously overpriced and I'm disguisted to have ate such vile vile food! Spent our hard working money on it and it was just not worth it, staff was very rude to my partner and her food was cold! Never in my life have I been to a restaurant that has such poor poor service, staff where horrible and I felt uncomfortable and such terrible food at such an expensive price! I'm extremely angry at the fact that when we got the bill the staff added on a "service charge" I then went on to ask about why this was on here and the man serving just gave an argumentive response, at this point I was ready to leave and never return, asked him to remove the charge which he did but then still over charged us! Im disgusted and if somethings not done I will be taking it further! Do not eat here if you want something decent or something with choice and good staff!DISGUISTED.More
