It has been almost five years since I wrote about Sufi the first time and I thought that it might be time for an update. the fact is that we have eaten here numerous times since then and have never had anything but the best experience of both food and service. All Iranian restaurants' reputations must rise or fall on the taste and texture of their bread and we joke that Sufi should charge £10 just for the bread because it is possible that if you start eating it you will eat nothing else since it is so fantastic and even better with the panir sabzi herb, nut, and cheese platter, and the naz khatoon aubergine relish...
My personal favourite continues to be the grilled lamb chops but we have also really enjoyed the chicken on the bone, the lamb stew with beans and herbs (gormeh sabzi), the fessenjaan (chicken stew with pomegrante molasses, and a dish they only have around the New Year's (Nowruz) time, which is lovely roasted fish served with rice and a slice of kuku sabzi, an intensely herby frittata that is out of this world.
The thing is, that in the last very difficult year, when restaurants in London have been almost entirely closed due to pandemic restrictions, Sufi has not only shifted to takeaway like so many others, but has done so brilliantly, with unfailing quality and prompt and truly friendly service. I can't wait to be able to visit for real again soon!

We visited on a weekday for a pre-arranged Birthday lunch. The food (Naz Khatoon, lamb and chicken kebabs and lamb/chick pea stew, Naans) was delicious and generously prepared. It was a wonderful meal and the host, Cyrus was hospitable and very warm in welcoming us to the restaurant. We will come again, isa. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Exceptional food - the best I have had in a long time. An incredible array of flavours and perfect presentation.
You really need to try the lamb (khoresh ghaimeh) and the chicken in pomegranate sauce (fessenjan) plus some of the Persian bread (taftoon) handmade in their traditional oven!
The koobideh kebab is also to die for!

I wanted to chose a discrete but quality venue to celebrate my 50th birthday. After much research and the positive reviews I chose Sufi.
Given its capacity is not large I would recommend booking in advance. Parking on side streets free after 5pm and weekends.
The cuisine is persian. As we were a party of six we were advised to go with a mixed meze starter platter of dips this was delicious with the crispy naan bread.
For mains we went with mixed grill - this included lamb chops, kebabs and chicken. Very nice and tasty.
We were given complimentary baklava at the end. I must comment on the service very attentative we were looked after.
A very special place for a special occasion.

Sufi is a little gem with amazing food, the Sufi Kebab are the best we've had and the made-to-order flatbreads and dips are absolutely delicious. The team of staff are always super friendly and personable and make the experience. You have to have the garlic sauce!! Omg, it's amazing. Can highly recommend and we will be back (lots!)

The best Persian food in town . Cater for vegan , veggie , gluten-free . You can eat like a king , order selection of starters and share with friends & family with their fresh hot bread baked there , mains also delicious . Very good pudding too . They server alcohol .
Service very friend . Atmosphere authentic . My recommendation os for sure Try kaskeh -e- bademjoon and ghormeh sabzee which are very authentic .

Enjoyed it so much we had to go back - the service and quality of the food was as good as last time. The team were very helpful with having to change arrangements due to COVID. The bread straight from the oven remains outstanding. The lamb chops were also very succulent. Thank you

Excellent dish of zereshk-polo which is a traditional Persian rice and chicken dish. It was cooked to perfection and the portion was generous and very satisfying. As it happens, it was good value for money too.
There was an excellent range of other tempting dishes which we hope to try on future visits.

Sufi is our favourite Iranian restaurant which we have visited many times and never been disappointed. We ordered take away food for 12 just after
Christmas, a combination of Khoresht and kebabs. As. usual, the food was amazing and enjoyed by everyone. Definitely worth the 40 minute drive.

Normally we eat at Sufi restaurant. Yesterday for a big family gathering we had take away. The food was delicious as always, perfectly cooked grilled meats and fresh salad. Delivered promptly with friendly service. Recommended

Great food.
We visited the restaurant on August 24 with family. The food was delivered without delay. It was perfectly cooked and the service was amazing. The desert (lemon ice cream with noodles) was a pleasant surprise at the end.

I have been to Iranian restaurants before but never had I this quality experience. The best Persian food can be experienced in Sufi. The quality of the food is amazing. I ordered Sufi kebab and special dishes, it was so enjoyable :) also, the atmosphere was so quiet such a home and good services. Thanks a lot.

Pleasant persian restaurant with excellent service and. The food was very good and the servings were large. You won't leave the restaurant hungry. It was possible to have a conversation without being disturbed by loud music and lots of noice even though the restarant was full.

This restaurant was great, the food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We attended for a joint birthday celebration and we had a lovely area. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We had a really great night and I will definitely attend again. Yhe service was excellent and my family had a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent Persian restaurant with friendly and unhurried service. The food is terrific: wonderful dips as a starter, followed by stews and kebabs. Decent house wine. Can't wait for another excuse to visit!
