This spot is great for a night out, a special occasion or any other time you want an exceptional meal with the nice wait staff. Gon was such a great help in suggesting what to order as well as wine service. He talked us into...a wonderful dessert that we enjoyed. It was the highlight of our tripMore
I absolutely love this place. I’ve been coming here for abt 4 years as i live close by. The service is outstanding. Staff come and go, however, the quality of service is never affected. Great steaks, lovely cocktails. It’s not cheap but then you would...always expect to pay a little extra for top quality ingredients. Highly recommended. Special mention to Danni and Gon.More
Food was nice but the website menu has an offer on it for a glass of wine at lunch for free with your meal. I asked both the kitchen and the waitress if this was correct. Both said it was. Then when the bill arrived...I was charged £11 for a glass of wine and told the deal had ended in 2018. It's 2023 and I pointed out it is still on their website and they had told me it was free....More
We had recently been recommended by a friend about their lunch deal of £10 for steak, chips and a glass of wine. However very disappointed as we were shafted and not given the offer for no reason. We turned up at Friday lunchtime and like...their website says we asked if lunch deal included wine to two members of staff who both confirmed it did. We ordered our food which was lovely. When the bill arrived we had been charged £11.40 per wine glass and highlighted this to the waitress (who earlier said deal was running) who said “we haven’t been doing that since 2018”. We showed her that it was on their websites menu but she wouldn’t budget. We know this isn’t true as our friend who recommended it had got the deal a few weeks prior. Furthermore, false advertising on website and two staff members saying yes when we arrived is just terrible. In the end we had to pay £20 more than what we expected and ruined the visit despite the great food. I would like some compensation and I will edit my review as the food was actually great just terribly shafted.More
I never though that I would write such a review, but sadly, I have to agree with a couple of the previous reviewers that were regulars to that restaurant before and found the recent experience under new management underwhelming. We were the regulars and loved...to have a ribeye steak with chimichurri sauce. I am not even going to complain about the fact that this was not a proper chimichurri anymore (it is supposed to be dry spices, not fresh tomatoes in oil), and they charged for it separately. My biggest issue was that we were served veal ribeye and when I enquired about it, I was repeatedly told that it was a standard beef ribeye. I am sorry, but I know my beef. I felt like I was taken for a fool. No seasoning, no taste. So disappointing. I did not want to make a scene with our friends, so just smiled and made no further complaints. Life is too short and I prefer just quietly not to come back. Covering tables with white cloth does not make a good restaurant, and unfortunately this one has lost its soul.More
This place is all about the steak! And it is amazing steak. Cooked to perfection and high authentic! The fact this place has done so well in what could be classed as a bit of an unfashionable road in London shows it’s class.
Always keeping coming back because the food is just so good and the lunch deal is perfect for our clients and employees.
Great atmosphere, very tasty food. Highly recommended!!! The meat was delicious and the desserts were amazing too
Wow! The steaks were absolutely fantastic. We had the empanadas platter, and the ham, cheese, and beef options were my favorites. Congratulations to the chef for such delicious creations! The service was outstanding, and although I can't recall our waitress's name, she was from Patagonia...and provided excellent attention. She even recommended the best Malbec I've ever had. Despite the place being full, everything was served promptly. We're definitely planning to return soonMore
I went to Santa Maria del sur for a dinner with my family , and to be honest I can’t not be any more happier with the service and the food the waitress were amazing and very welcoming they all had a smile on the...faces all the time and the food OMG right on the spot for the perfection the meat was great and on the right point the sides were amazing I could not be disappointed with anything, I definitely will be back soon !More
We visited here today for our wedding anniversary meal. We’ve been regulars for special occasions for around 10 years now so it was a no brainer to visit again as the food has always been amazing. Sadly this would be our last visit. On arrival...we were greeted by new faces. Turns out there’s new ownership, we obviously weren’t aware of this. We cannot fault the staff at all because they were all lovely and welcoming. Good start. Sadly the menu has changed a lot and many of our fave items were no longer on the menu. We ordered chicken empanadas for starters. They tasted the same as before but instead of using chicken breast it was now chicken mince. Not as tasty or worth the price in our opinion. For our main we both ordered fillet steak at over £30 a piece. My husbands was cooked perfectly (well done). Mine was not. I ordered medium and it arrived medium rare. Maybe even more rare as I attempted to eat it. The meat wasn’t even red in colour, it was a purple tone and it was so rare and wobbled like jelly on my plate. I ended up not being able to stomach more than 50% of it. And to top it off it had 0% flavour. Maybe the chef needs to season the meat in future. The chimichurri was spot on but my husbands peppercorn sauce was rank. It was a strange sloppy grey substance. Never before in my life have I seen grey peppercorn sauce! My husband soon regretted pouring it over his steak which then made it inedible. Ordered the garlic and parsley roasted potato side at around £5. It arrived as 3 large roasted wedges with a small amount of green sauce dribbled on the top! Bland and awful. I’m actually offended by this side in particular. The roasted red pepper however was lovely. But how hard could that one be to get right. My husband did however enjoy one part of his meal and that was the prawn starter. So well done for that one I guess. Still not enough to justify the amount of money we’d just been robbed of. We only had soft drinks with our meal so didn’t spend much on those but the total bill came in at just over £150. I can honestly say it was the biggest waste of money ever. Shocking food to say the least. In my opinion and advice to any regulars out there please steer clear. Sad to say after so many visits over the past decade, we will never return here. Any recommendations for a new steak house would be welcomed! :)More
Great service and excellent food. Our waitress was very friendly. Definitely we are going to come back for another lunch.
Great atmosphere, with great service. I had the ham and cheese empanadas and it’s one of the best i’ve had to date. For the main I had a burger and for the price it was a brilliant burger, couldn’t ask for more. Would definitely recommend...for a nice dine in experience.More
