Visited on 25th April at 7pm. The front door gave me a splinter causing my finger to bleed. When I approached the female bar staff to tell her what happened and ask for a plaster, she gave me a filthy look and just handed over...More

Hi Debbie, Thanks for taking the time to write your review - what a disappointing visit, especially as you would have left without trying one of our great cocktails! It would be great to talk to you more about your visit as this definitely falls...More

I found the facilities, service, snacks and drinks to be excellent. My booking was only for a Saturday afternoon, but I've been there before at someone else's party in the evening, and both times were really enjoyable.

Perhaps they were having an off day, or possibly the fact that we were dining late afternoon/early evening when they were quiet, but I was left feeling uninspired by this visit. I've eaten here many many times over the last 20 years, and in the...More

First visit to Smollensky's on The Strand. Staff were very friendly and charming. No Guinness, so I opted for Old Mout (as in fruit) Cider, which was a very refreshing drink. Food was simple and well presented - 2 of My Sisters enjoyed the prosecco!

It looks great on arrival and the guy behind the bar was attentive and helpful. There are 2 cocktails for £10 which sounds great but the glasses are half empty and we aren't given the prosecco shot with our porn star martini. When challenged we...More

Went using a Bookatable deal (3courses and prosecco for £25) had a really warm welcome from Danny from the moment we walked in. Loved the simple decor but most importantly the steak...oh...my.....gosh! It was so thick and full of flavour with none of those fatty...More

Really good evening. Food was good as usual and the waiter funny and attentive. Beers were ok, better range on draught would be an improvement but couldn't fault it otherwise. Will certainly come back.

We were underwhelmed from the moment we got to our table. First of all, we arrived early on a Saturday lunchtime and there were only two tables in use. We were seated right in front of one of those tables - a little distance would...More

Anyone ever been to the New Years Eve party at Smollensky's? Just curious how the food and atmosphere is and if you can see the fireworks live or if they show on a screen?
