The service was slow. We arrived at 2pm when the restaurant was about 20% capacity and some were finished and leaving so there is no excuse for slow service. The food arrived 30 mins later. The curry was nice but the food being served with microwaved rice was rather disappointing. I told the restaurant that I wanted fresh rice not cold rice that was microwaved. They told me that it is not possible. I mentioned that most Asian restaurant serve fresh rice. That as a restaurant that microwaving cold rice was rather poor.

The food was delicious but for the kids we had ordered non spicy biryani, it arrived really hot/spicy. We ordered another one emphasizing the mistake but the second one was even spicier. Well it is indian/pakistani food, it is predictable. But the fact that we got rushed out when the place was getting busier is definitely unacceptable. We ordered tea after the meal, we always do (turkish routine), the waiter bluntly said that it is so busy they just can't and his boss keeps telling him to clear the table quickly. Just so rude and unacceptable.

We were recommended this restaurant however weren’t too impressed. The starts were brought from a case at the front where they were being kept so we’re warm, chewy and a bit tasteless. The Chicken Korma wasn’t nice at all- tasted very buttery. Rogan Josh had a better flavour but didn’t compare to others we’ve had before. The decor was nice and aesthetically pleasing! Staff were friendly but wouldn’t eat here again unfortunately due to the food.

I have visited this restaurant for the first time to order a take away breakfast and they have offered 50 % discount on lahori nashta. When I went there it wasn’t very busy but it took them more than half an hour to bring my order and when I reached home and open the bags the portion size was ridiculously small as I’ve ordered 4 portions of halwa Puri breakfast but it was a 1 small pot of chane( chick peas curry) and only 1 pot for halwa( sweat dessert) which was very disappointing and embarrassing as I have invited guests at home as well. The taste was average though halwa was ok and puris were half cooked and of different sizes tastes like rubber. This restaurant has really put me down and I am not going there again. It seems while offering discount they have reduced the quantity of portions to help with their costs.

One of my favourite Indian/Pakistani dishes is the Byriani. Last Saturday, I headed to Tooting to get the authentic version. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of the lamb meat used for my dish. For the first time, I couldn’t finish my plate. The meat was unpalatable. Actually, it was a mix of rubber, tendons and fat. I left two third of my food in my plate. I should’ve ordered a vegetable Bryani than a lamb Bryani. The quality was so poor that I didn’t bother ask for a doggy bag.

We placed an order for delivery for a few things one being a king prawn tikka masala. This masala was a water consistency which is not how masala is at all! It also didn’t come with any rice! We payed £12.95 for what? Water and a few prawns what a joke! I rang the restaurant to ask where the rice was and they said well you didn’t order rice which I replied well that wasn’t specified on your menu. It’s just normal to get rice with the meal no? Especially paying £12.95! All of the food we ordered was super spicy too inedible especially for my 95 year old grandma! So I was explaining to him that your website needs updating as is doesn’t state that and all the guy kept saying was no it doesn’t come with rice, no it doesn’t come with rice no it doesn’t come with rice talking over me every time I tried to talk! Immensely rude. So I tried to say what I was saying one more time and he put the phone down on me! I will never order from this place ever again as it was all rubbish! Too spicy to even taste anything! Highly recommend to AVOID!

Never, ever have we received such bad service and what makes it worse is i think they care not in the slightest. Their modus operandi is purely profit motivated. The completely dismissive attitudes, verging on contempt for their customers, was extraordinary. we were given a dirty table wit two plates, three forks and one knife. Eventually ordered, Still no cutllery or crockery. Time after time we appealed for our food, then water, then gkasses, then utensils again, then water again and on and on this comedy of errors went on. it was however remarkable how quickly we were given the bill and were able to pay. As we were leaving the next customers were being seated at our uncleaned table. If the food was of a higher standard it would be easier to understand the queues at this socially undistanced venue, but it was average at best and we were left dunbfounded with this disgraceful, excuse for a hospitality business.

Despite booking in advance and arriving at the restaurant on time, they clearly had left anyone who turned up have a seat and so we were stood in a queue for 45 minutes before we were seated. They were not enforcing mask wearing either and it was very busy. In the queue we could see a number of people complaining about their food and unfortunately we were no different. Another 30 minutes for Poppadoms to arrive, then a further 20 minutes for only one of our three starters to show up. When we asked about the remainder of the starters, we were accused of having eaten them (despite the single plate on the table?!). The pakoras were extremely floury and dry. When the mains eventually arrived, they were so oily and made it quite an unpleasant eating experience. We left most of our food at this point. Staff were really unresponsive all night and the mood was brought down by so many issues. Would not visit again when there are so many other great restaurants in Tooting.

Finally back!!! I have to give this 5 stars purely based on the food and the food only! This has been, and continues to be our favourite curry house in London, perhaps even in the UK. We've been regulars for years! The food is delicious, spicy and reasonably priced. It's BYOB and it's 100% no frills! Don't go expecting good service, don't go if you want attentive servers, or even ones that know what their doing....😆 You have to have patience and you have to accept their dismal service, it's never gonna change, and part of me kind of don't want it to....It's become part of the charm. Just sit down (when you finally get a table), open your beers, relax and enjoy the absolutely brilliant food, if you're lucky, you might get a selfie with Sadiq Khan!!

We ordered the biryani so expected rice, but there was barely anything else. 4 small pieces of chicken (cremated) in the curry and the onion baji was, without doubt, the saltiest thing I have ever come across. The entire house got involved to taste it - we couldn't believe anyone could serve this. I felt immediately ill after biting into it. The only positive is that it was memorable.

Just back from Lahore Karahi in Tooting. Booked table for 6.30 pm - stood in queue waiting for our table until 7.15pm. Ordered food after waiting and having to ask a few times to get attention. Poppadoms had still not come 20 minutes later. Food eventually came just before 8.00 pm wrong order as had asked for chicken tikka as a main course but got a “starter size portion”, pilau rice instead of plain and coconut rice was missed off the order and had to be requested again. A jug of water was requested 3 times. Food was tasty when eventually arrived. Lots of customers were waiting for ages, complained, walked out, or got angry, so we were not the only ones. It was very busy, chaotic and very noisy and not as enjoyable as on several previous occasions. Hopefully they will get their service sorted out before we visit again. Their re-branding of the restaurant looks good, but their new flooring is dangerously slippery and they need to up their customer service/table booking timings for us to return.

Heard a lot about this 'restaurant' over the years.....it was ok. Restaurant prices with fast food service. I was asked to pay the bill half way through eating my meal. When I politely asked to pay once I had eaten I was simply told they were closing and I needed to pay. I appreciate fully and respect opening and closing times however please don't offer a table if you cannot offer the dinning experience. Prides itself on its authentic food and value....but in reality its no different to eating in a proper restaurant....just without the service.

Lahore Karahi is really great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff are very friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Thier Chicken dishes are very nice and filling, and the family mixed greal was very suitable for the family and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. One must try it, the taste of the food brings childhood memories when you take your first bite.

We had a reservation for 8:30. Arrived on time and were made to wait 25 minutes watching the restaurant for any sign of a table about to leave. No amount of shaming eye contact did the trick. No apology from the staff for that; if anything, they are outraged by the fact we’d arrived on time and this was a deterrent from ever dreaming of doing it again in future. We finally got a table and they were again pretty annoyed, this time that we wanted to eat their food. In hindsight, it was arrogant to assume we’d earned enough of their respect to warrant it. After we did earn the right to order, the food arrived pretty quickly. I’d ordered a korma because I lack culture and the respect of my peers, and clearly this had offended the chef, who instead sent out chicken covered in melted yellow play-doh. It was grim, but I appreciate I don’t really have a leg to stand on with this one, to be fair. My friend, who has already started to grow hairs on his chest, ordered the chicken madras. He’s a hot Nando’s man and the waiter had promised him this was a medium spice. We noticed something was up when he hadn’t spoken for 15 minutes and realised he was crying. Not at the service, but I imagine at the thought of his next visit to the toilet. By this point I’d had a few drinks and thought it would be funny to try a mouthful. It wasn’t funny to try a mouthful. Frodo Baggins could’ve saved himself three movies and just thrown the ring into this dish. It was like Russia had finally hit the nuke button but concentrated their strikes only on this chicken. Again, doesn’t mean much coming from a korma boy, but even for the Nando’s hot man, it was the stuff of extra hot nightmares. We ordered a different dish for him and he had that instead. I think he got his voice back after a week or two. The atmosphere was a mix between a kebab shop at 2am and one of those sticky floor nightclubs that exclusively play ABBA, except instead of really loud music there was just really loud people. Hot Nando’s man’s Apple Watch told him any longer than 10 minutes at that decibel could cause temporary hearing loss. The waiters must’ve caught wind of this because they were very keen to get us, and every other table, out of there as soon as possible and brought the bill over while we were still eating as a subtle hint. As least they’re health and safety conscious. Generally, if you’ve woken up one morning and chosen chaos, go here. Otherwise, I’d probably leave it. It’s bring your own booze, but I’d suggest bringing your own food as well.

King Charles the third needs to visit. This restaurant serves mutton and as we all know he has flagged up mutton for years. Fabulous clean food and very inexpensive. Really busy all evening, people queuing before entering and after leaving. The restaurant has a great vibe and you can be as loud as you like. A lovely lady called Nadia served us and BYO was brilliant, only 2 quid corkage per person. Bought the poison-cold beer and white wine from the friendly off licence across the road so probably saved eighty pounds. It was nice that the tip wasn’t the usual addition and was left up to us.
