Timings gives sushi a new meaning. You gotta try the Tar Tar Chips. Very novel idea. Fusion between the crispy taco and sashimi. Overall presentation is great. Seafood and meat quality is great. The taste of each dish is well balanced. Definitely a place to recommend.

We went to Dinings to celebrate my partner's birthday. The staff was great and friendly, and gave us good tips on the food. It was really a delicious meal, with lots of variety on the menu and very well presented dishes. Although the meal was fantastic, and we had a lovely time, I won't be going back because of the... The food was that best I have eaten outside of Japan. Simply phenonemal. Don't be fooled by the low-key entrance and downstairs dining room. If you want the best sushi in London then this is your place. The waiter will help you if are struggling with the menu. If someone else is paying go for the tasting menu.

Excellent sushi in this tiny intimate venue. Food was outstanding but there was something lacking in the atmosphere. Still a great evening and even though there was tension between the chefs the food was just amazing.

I've been wanting to go to Dinings for ages but something always came up so I was thrilled when my wife booked it for dinner on Saturday for the family. It IS tiny, and if you're after somewhere with a buzz this isn't it. Quite charming as a space but I can quite understand why some people might be disappointed.... More

We wanted to try another Japanese restaurant in London, and we found some excellent reviews of Dinings. The menu is large, but a bit complicated. A lot of guests were struggling with the options. We had the two soups, edamame, truffle scallops, some veggie dishes, wagyu, lots of different sashimi and a sushi roll with 6 different fish. All dishes... More

If it's all about the food then there is no better! Sort of like a cafe but who cares when the food is so amazing?

This place is a total ripe off. Price "per nigri" .... price "per sushi piece". Average quality sushi in a really below bar space topped with truffle for obnoxious punters, in the equivalent of a period conversion ground/lower ground maisonette in W1. The service is atrocious. We asked for soy/ginger/wasabi top ups a dozen times. If you want quality sushi... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
