When it come to the best Japanese restaurant in the UK, the name Dining definitely will top the list. I came to Dining to taste its chiraishi but it was only for lunch time so I decide to have a go with their sushi instead. The quality was unbelievable, all the sushi was superb to the level that I could... More

I used to live in Japan and crave good Japanese food on a regular basis. It's hard to find top notch quality in Europe - at Dinings you do. Expensive, but I will return. One meal here delivers more freshness, flavour and innovation than a few elsewhere. Love the concept and the menu. Attentive service too and nice little venue... More

I'd read about this on a few foodie blogs, and it lived up to expectations. The sushi was amazing, and the miso-glazed eggplant should be a bucket-list dish for foodies. The service is excellent and the ambiance is pleasant. It was definitely one of the best restaurants I visited in London (I enjoyed it more than The Ledbury). I heartily... More

we were five for lunch. we had high expectations and were not disappointed at all. the restaurant is very small and moderest, the food took the front stage. The dishes were delicious and precise.the service was kind and professional. the price we paid per person was the same as for dinner in the trandy and glamorous Novikov or Sexy fish restaurants... This is the second time I've been to dinings. The first time I was here I say at the sushi bar and service was prompt. This time I sat at a table downstairs and service was extremely slow. Perhaps the fact that this is my first restaurant review ever is indicative of my dissatisfaction. For a restaurant charging prices comparable... More

Incredible food, service and drinks. In particular the lobster popcorn which was out of this world. Intimate vibe with only a few tables. Sat downstairs.

Small little unassuming gem with downstairs dining, staff can come across as cold, wanting to upsell everything, but the food speaks for itself: excellent Our waitress recommended one of the daily specials: the tuna neck which is quite rare to find in the market - magnificent. From the sushis/nigri she recommended one of the options that gives you 5 spoons... More

Went here as a special treat, and although the food was amazing, it is very expensive, and perhaps not worth those prices. It is definitely not an average, cheap sushi bar, but neither is it the best I've been to. It is expensive because of its location and reputation, but you need to book as it's not very big either!... Enjoyed the original menu. The venue is basic but the service and food are good, worth a visit. Pricey.

Japanese food by Japanese chef. The sashimi is fresh and all dishes are presented very nicely. Service is quite good too!

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
