The food was excellent. After first serving to everybody of us (we was 4 people) we repeated all meals. Little bit expensive for this kind of restaurant

Nothing especially bad but not a lot special neither... expensive so for what it is, I would choose somewhere else to choose as there are so many places that's more memorable.

I keep giving them a chance every few years since I stay near by. Pretentious, mediocre overpriced. The staff tries to be nice but they need training. For this large place you have three chefs at the sushi bar, Nobu on Berkeley has about the double. The chef is good but it takes more then that. The cheap menu is... More

Most of us had never eaten Japanese so we were well guided around the menu by excellent staff. The one waiter was also excellent though we should probably had sake! Thank you for wonderful food and superb wine. Nothing needs improvement though lighting may be a little dim for some.

We went there as a large party of 8. The dishes varied from ok to very good. The most memorable thing for me would be the entrance and the unique architecture of this restaurant. Very much on the expensive side but I think it is well worth it.

The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was nothing short of brilliant so much so that we felt bad every time something was done... Until the next dish came out to charm us again. We will definitely go back. However a little complaint has to do with really tight seating... No squeeze room even between tables and the waitstaff was... More

Saturday night early and it was still very busy. The tables are very close together so it really is bistro rather than intimate. The menu is big and imaginative and some amazing quality. Also, try some of the unusual wines on the wine list they are reasonably priced for this type of restaurant and a bit different. Service is not... More

Good food! Great Service! Fashion people! The place to be seen. We enjoyed the dinner but it misses some charme. Too expensive. Better options in London...like Koji!

Friendly setting, we went there after 22 and got the set menu plus a few nibbles. Total price was fair, around 50£ for a nice meal. Food is not stellar, there are better sushi places in the area but overall a decent offering and an attentive staff. Overall atmosphere is actually great as the place is quiet and classy enough... sake no hana is, according to my daughter with whom i dined there, "wearing shoes that are too big for it." her comment summarises how i felt. we entered and were enveloped in hushed poshness - coats taken at the door, serious ushering up very steep escalators as though one were entering a sanctum sanctorum. they had the loudly welcoming... Description
Sake no Hana bar and restaurant is housed on the first floor of a modernist Grade II listed building in the heart of St James, offering modern Japanese dining. The a la carte menu provides a variety of hot and cold appetisers, charcoal grill, Toban and Kamameshi dishes, while sushi and sashimi are... prepared to order at the 13 seat sushi bar. A carefully selected list of sakes, Japanese whiskeys and other wines, spirits and liqueurs complement the dishes offered in the restaurant. Sake no Hana's interiors were designed my esteemed architect Kengo Kuma and the bar includes a beautiful futuristic chandelier, offering the perfect space for post work cocktails.

The bar is also a beautiful space for private parties of up to 60 guests for a standing canape event, or can host up to 25 guests seated for an exclusive private dining experience. Monday to Thursday, 12pm - 2.45pm, 6pm - 11pm; Friday, 12pm - 2.45pm, 6pm - 11.30pm, Saturday 12pm - 4pm, 6pm - 11.30pm

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
