This restaurant is quite simply first class. The decor is lovely, very French provincial, the staff - all are French - are charming and discreet and the food is excellent. Its not exactly cheap, but this is fashionable Pimlico, we paid £110 for two, great food and wine. Highly recommended for a romantic evening.

Our last meal in London before heading back to the states. Coq au Vin was delicious. The side of green beans was a perfect accompaniment though mashed potatoes would have been wonderful with the wonderful sauce! My husband had chicken in a pot and thoroughly enjoyed that too. Cute little neighborhood place - lots of atmosphere. I'd definitely go back.

We enjoyed our experience at La Poule au Pot. It came recommended by a local businessman at our conference and he was right on. The menu had something for everyone. We had yummy cocktails, many appetizers- (all were equally delightful). Finally, we had steak, and Coq Au Vin. Just delightful-

After 25 years of stays in Belgravia, we found our new (to us) favorite restaurant- La Poule au Pot. This country French charmer is romantic with friendly French service and an excellent menu. This is not gourmet food but classic country French. The restaurant is right across from Orange Park where a statue commemorates that Mozart lived near here where... More

The food and atmosphere reminded me of lazy meals in France. It felt strange to emerge into a London street ! The veal was perfect

I am giving this restaurant the benefit of the doubt by giving it an average rating. The best and most memorable meals have normally been when I was not expecting them. Lat night was not like that at all. It might have been them or us, but it started with the maître d looking at us as if we had... More

It was the birthday of my wife and I wanted to give her and special dinner. We had made reservation for dinner and despite the problems with that I was hoping for good French cuisine and intimate and nice ambiance for the rest of the night. The food was good, fresh ingredients, really good food. But the employees didn't delivered... More

This place has a lovely outside area for those good weather days. Inside interior is cute. The food from set menu is good, mains more so than starters. The service is bad though, especially manager's attitude, no smile and generally stressed atmosphere amongst staff. Long wait for everything and had to ask 3 times for the bill.

This lovely little French restaurant transports you to the French countryside the instant you walk in. The ambiance is wonderful, the service is friendly and the food is delicious. This is on my list every time I am in London. Fantastic foie gras, delectable chicken, their red table wine is delicious and all of the dishes are very generous portions.... More

We were eight people for Sunday lunch and it could not have been a more festive or enjoyable occasion. The food was solid, as promised, and some dishes excellent. Notable taste a l'mignon, supreme de poulet and great asparagus hollandaise. The house red wine from big magnums was great for the price and the wine list had some notable whites.... More

Staying in Belgravia

Neighbourhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
