My husband and I recently stayed in London and luckily came across The Empress , it was probably the best Indian meal we have eaten , the food was served by friendly staff and all food was well presented and very tasty ,everything from poppadoms...onion salad and mint sauce then onion Bhaji and tandoori mixed grill starter the tandoori lamb chops were especially good , on this occasion we were not wanting to eat really spicy curry so we had the king prawn Biryani and a chicken Pasanda with a peshwari naan and all very delicious , we will definitely go back when next in London .More

We had a mini break in London and reviewed where to eat on Trip Advisor. The reviews were outstanding. So we gave it a whirl. They did not lie! The pops were lovely and fresh. My chicken tikka dhansak was the nicest I have ever...had. My other half had chicken tikka bhuna and he too reported it as outstanding. The peshwari nan was light and fluffy too and full of flavour. Super glad we checked on Trip Advisor. And we most certainly will be visiting again for sure.More

We had an excellent dinner with very attentive waiters. The speciality lamb bhuna and chicken jalfrizi were delicious; We would heartily recommend both dishes. The nan bread were fresh from the over and lovely and puffy. Thanks you to the lovely staff who were very...friendly and most welcoming. One of the best Indian restaurants I have visited in a long time. Do go and try it!More

This was our 2nd visit to The Empress and will certainly not be our last, all ready looking forward the next time we are in London and visiting again. My husband had Chicken Rajshahi and I had Chicken Korma as our main meals, with assorted...sides, it was amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We Can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.More

After a three month break (we were out of the country) my husband and I returned to our favourite restaurant in London - and oh boy we’d missed it! I ordered Methi Sag Gosht and my husband had Chicken Madras and they were divine! Thank...you so much, Empress. We will never leave you for so long again - my taste buds won’t let me!More

Booked a weekend away and wanted a local restaurant for our first evening. After looking and reading reviews for The Empress we decided to book a table for Friday evening. We were greeted and welcomed by staff who then went through the menu and helped...us choose a meal from the vast menu. The staff have good knowledge of what is nice and suitable for different palettes and we were not disappointed. Our meals came and they were delicious and perfect for both myself and my husband. We had plenty of food to eat in a nice restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere . We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and it was a good start to our weekend away. To finish off our evening as we left I was given a beautiful gift , this was a lovely touch and completely unexpected. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.More

A Friday night in London and we fancied an Indian meal close to our hotel. Opted for The Empress - thankfully! Two main courses - the lamb special and chicken passanda were delicious and the Nan bread was sumptuous. Will certainly be back as the...staff were very friendly also.More

We visited this restaurant due to the reviews we had seen online and we were not disappointed! The staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant itself had an excellent atmosphere. The food was incredible, everything down to the popadoms and dips were of a...fantastic quality and it was all at a very reasonable price! We had the lamb chops and duck tikka which were amazing, my only regret is that I couldn’t stay and try the whole menu! We will definitely be returning again!More
