It was a Saturday night and very busy but we were looked after very well and enjoyed the meal . The pizzas are amazing the best I've had. .
The aerobics has improved somewhat. The food is very average. I have to say that the servers and managers were very friendly and accommodating, but not attentive. Food was by undercooked for pizza. I am an ex chef, and the pizza came out too quick....Overall an improvement on my last visit 2 years ago which was awful, I will. Be going back to fry it again. I am partially deaf and blind, and I made a mistake entering my key pad numbers and had to reset. I have never felt more comfortable with the staff while sorting this out. Huge thank yous!!!!!!!More
Food was ok. We were seated in the outside bit and they had tried to fit too many tables in a small place. This meant that there was very little space for the waiters to serve the food. Add in the customers passing past and...it becomes very irritating. The plates were big and the tables small!More
Lovely place to sit in..... As soon as we sat down we ordered the drinks which arrived promptly but had to call to order as we were forgotten. Menu is misleading. We ordered 2 cotoletta Di vitello Milanese with spaghetti. This supposed to be a pan...fried veal cutlet with the bone. We got a piece of deep fried meat, doubtely veal about 120 GM each. Spaghetti were al dente. At 11 pm ca only two tables left, staff started to shift tables and raising chairs to get ready to mop the floor. Basically implying for us to go. We ordered the bill, left no tip and went. Restaurant is pretty, average London prices, shame they pretend to sell one thing and they serve another. These cheap tricks were common place in Italian restaurants in the 70s and owner,if he is Italian, ought to realise customers have evolved. Avoid!More
Not recommended anymore . Rubbish food.I did order 2 pizzas (marinara and panne Al and Bannaffee pie. Pizzas Uncooked and the Bannaffee pie just a cream without toffee . No biscuits No banana . Tried to explain to the manager. No Respect. I never try...againMore
Service bitvto fastvabd you feel they are trying to turn tables quickly. Quality of food very average with lack of cream in pasta and my calzone average- expensive for what you get
The environment is full of beautiful feeling. The flowers placed in the hall outside the place made the environment very beautiful and romantic. The food and dessert were wonderful. My son is very bad at food. The only restaurant he eats is here. Excellent service...is undoubtedly five starsMore
Stone cold, tasteless pizza. Arrived in an appalling state! Al Forno has gone downhill. Service is terrible and food quality has decreased.
Been here before and wanted to return for a nice meal after a fab day at the tennis. Food was bland (pasta Alfredo) and glass for beer was dirty Thought a 12.5% service charge extreme for a 45 minute visit. Wasn’t asked if food was...ok. Wasn’t asked if wanted another beer. Will NOT BE RETURNINGMore
This is one of the best restaurants in Wimbledon. Lots of buzz, brilliant Italian tasty food and fabulous service. Special thanks to Monica. She was in total control of a very busy restaurant during Wimbledon. Such energy and passion for her work and customers. I...have made a point of going every year. This year I was celebrating a big birthday, so thanks to all for making it memorable!!More
1st time here for a meal. Staff were attentive and service was good. Food came out piping hot. Happily visit again
Probably my 10th visit to Al Forno and again had a brilliant experience. We had booked for 8pm on a Saturday and very glad we booked because they were super busy. All the food was amazing, wine and drinks good, and love the general vibe...of the restaurant.More
I have been visiting Al Forno's for years. However, last night we had one of our worst experiences in a restaurant to date. In short, our experience included several serious issues. First, they served my friend, who has allergies, nuts despite assuring us there were...none in the kitchen. As a result, my friend had a severe allergic reaction, with her tongue rapidly swelling, and had to rush upstairs to be sick. The staff acknowledged their mistake and admitted that there were, in fact, cashews in the kitchen. When I asked for the bill, I requested that the cost of my friend's uneaten main dish be removed since it was contaminated with nuts and posed a real risk to her well-being. However, the manager refused to do so. Moreover, when I approached the manager to discuss the situation, he became immediately confrontational, shouting in my face and acting aggressively towards me. This happened in the middle of the restaurant, which was packed full of people. As two women, one of us heavily pregnant, dining on our own, we felt extremely uncomfortable and were in a hurry to get my friend checked out. Unfortunately, we were left with no choice but to pay the full bill and leave. As a result of this terrible experience, I will never be returning to Al Forno's, and I will no longer be recommending it to my family and friends.More
Service was terrible. We felt so rushed it was unbelievable. Pasta was very poor quality and the starter bread for £4 was shocking. Pizzas were so over priced and the house wine was £9 a glass. The pasta sauce was OK. The desserts were slightly...better priced. Won't returnMore
