Nice independent chocolatier selling nice chocolates and a friendly owner who gave me a few free samples!
We had coffee and cake next door and afterwards I really felt like some chocolate. The friendly owner offered us free samples. The chocolate was so nice we bought 2 bars to take away, having had my chocolate fix for the evening on the free...samples!More
I was in London for a Conference and needed to purchase gifts for my committee. I wanted to include a box of chocolates and I had only two requirements: it must be made in London and there had to be a vegan option. A google...search led me to Le Jeune Chocolatiers one rainy Saturday morning in September. When I entered I was greeted very nicely by Alex and told her I needed twenty boxes of chocolates. She was a sweetheart and let me know it would take a little while to fill the boxes. She then offered me a cappuccino to sip while I wait which I very much appreciated being fairly wet from walking in the rain. As I sat sipping my coffee and scrolling through email, Alex kept up a lively chatter and told me all about the shop and owners. I was very impressed that the chocolate is made onsite in the basement and is made daily. By the time Alex was done, I had pretty much bought every truffle in the store! Everyone that received the candy told me how delicious it was and I agree. Alex was wonderful and I couldn't have shopped anywhere else and had such a nice time. Please see my pics showing how friendly Alex was and how all the chocolate disappeared from the counter into my boxes!More
I can’t rate Le Jeune highly enough. Very friendly couple who own it and most importantly delicious chocolates! They even managed to change my opinion on nuts with chocolate and pralines as have never previously been a fan, but they too were amazing. Definitely recommend...a visit.More
This small shop located close to Neil's yard is worth the visit...there was free chocolate tasting and the dark or hot chocolate were yum!
The shop looks quaint form the outside but once inside, the smell is fantastic. I bought a small box of a selection of the handmade chocolates and regret not buying more. The chocolates here are better than any of the other bigger name chocolatiers I've...tried in London. Comparable with the fresh chocolate you might find in Switzerland. Beautiful bespoke Easter eggs on offer too.More
Popped in for a hot chocolate back in January and wife and I were impressed by the offering. Great host took us through range of chocolates he made and brought ballotin home which did not last long with four children sampling the wares. Returned yesterday...for more, so that should give you an indication of my opinion.More
Wonderful place with the most gorgeous chocolates and hot chocolate. Well worth a visit to this hidden little haven.
I chanced upon this hideaway shop when taking a shortcut back to my B&B in Covent Garden. I enjoyed a cup of coffee while chatting with the proprietor at length. It is a small, but delightful and intimate setting. A few days later I returned...and had the best cup of hot chocolate ever. I also bought a box of assorted chocolates for my wife and, once home again, she raved about the exquisite flavor and quality of each of the very distinctive hand made pieces of chocolate. I can't wait to return there for some more of their excellent treats. The proprietor is extremely well versed in the art of chocolate and they use only the finest of ingredients. That says it all.More
Friday afternoon and I'd met Mum following a final exam, we were wondering around Covent Garden looking for places we might want to eat later, we, by chance spotted a Peruvian restaurant and thought we'd go take a look, while walking back i saw a...sign, fresh, handmade chocolates, and a handy one reminding me it was Father's Day (so busy studying, no real concept of time). I decided to choose some chocolates for him. I walked in, straight away I was excited and felt welcome! It's a small chocolate shop with some seating, an amazing array of fresh chocolates and some extra goodies to buy!...had a known about the hot chocolate I've been reading about, and had it not been as hot as it was, i would certainly have tried it!!-next time, for sure! The girl who served me was lovely, £15 for a small box...which felt super heavy and £20/£25 (can't remember) for a large. I opted small as it was a first time and it seemed like you got plenty!...what was wonderful if that I was able to try any i was unsure of...the salted caramel!-literally burst with flavour and actually did crack and spill out onto my hand-should have popped it in, in one!!-delicious!! The nougat was heavenly...the coconut- delight! I'm so excited to give him the box today!!! What I love is, it's not a chain like hotel chocolat (which is nice, but...samey) this is original, handmade and it feels special and thought about! Plus, I didn't think the price was that bad either! Will definitely return with my boyfriend who is the biggest chocaholic I know! Will be trying out the hot chocolate and cake for sure!...and I'll pick up a box of chocolates as a treat too! Recommend 100%More
Whilst searching for somewhere to get my mother a Mothers Day gift - googled chocolatiers and found this place, as I work close by. I was created with a smile and a free hot chocolate while i chose what i wanted. I asked if they...had a specific flavor in stock, which unfortunately they did not - but the owner (i assume) suggested that he would make me a special batch for me to pick up tomorrow. I was stunned -artisan chocolates made especially - what brilliant service. I shall return time and time again...More
Great choice, lady on counter was friendly and helpful. Chocolate lovely! Didn't have coffee but no doubt its brill.
We stumbled upon this cute little place and were rewarded with the best hot chocolate and a few delectable samples. Definitely worth dropping in the next time you're in the area.
This is a really nice , but VERY small, coffee house cum chocolatier. I went in for a quick coffee and it was really rather good, and there was a complementary chocolate to go with it -- which is rightly aimed at enticing you to...buy some of the chocolates. If you want a decent coffee and are fed up with the chains, then this is for you.More
