Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I took my parents here for dinner on a Friday night and it was amazing. The atmosphere was great, the food was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. It's also the perfect place to take a dog, which is a bonus for...us. I highly recommend this place. 10/10More

A lot quieter than other pubs in the area but always get decent service, GREAT food (I had a whole roasted mackerel the other week) and the drinks are fairly priced given the extortionate overcharging at the neighbouring boozers on the park. Been coming here...for years, always good for pre-drinks with friends and a relaxed few pints before a big night out.More

Went there for the first time with a few friends couple weeks ago, food was excellent service outstanding, l have nothing but praise for this pub. I will definitely be going back. The only down side is l had trouble getting through on the phone...to book a table but that’s not surprising as there so good so always busy. Highly recommendMore

Although the place looked quite inviting from the outside and a real fire was burning in the hearth, the atmosphere inside was definitely more frosty. Service was fast, but then there weren't many people in there. For about half the time we were sitting there...a relatively loud exchange was going on between two men at the bar, to the point we couldn't have a conversation, then a fight broke out, with a glass being hurled across the room. Needless to say, we didn't hang about.More

The perfect neighbourly pub! Delicious food and friendly service with cosey atmosphere. It's our favourite pub in the area.

This place looks really fancy from the outside, it would usually put me off, but we popped in while waiting for dumplings and it was great. It is really nice, but unpretentious and everyone is welcome. Really cool decor too!

My mum took my daughter and I tonight for our birthdays (4 and 34) and we had the most wonderful evening. We stayed for nearly three hours and were looked after like family by all the staff, despite it being our first visit. The calamari...was exceptional and the burgers were very good. But the service just went far beyond what you'd ever expect. Even one of the staff went on a mission around the area to find a birthday cake for my daughter as their deserts were finished - all staff came out and sang happy birthday with candles on this amazing chocolate cake, it was really so special. Thank you all for such a lovely night.More

I love this pub! I arranged a birthday celebration here for friends and family at this local pub. Ara and Peter were super professional - kept in touch regularly about my requirements concerning seating, decorations, music and food. They were polite, organised and friendly; the...evening lived up to all of my specifications. The food was amazing - all of my guests commented on the quality of the food and there was plenty of it! Thank you so much to Mikey, the chef - you're a superstar! Bar staff were helpful, efficient and very friendly. Peter had even ensured that my favourite whiskey was behind the bar. The Hector and Noble has a warm, welcoming ambience to locals as well as visitors to the area. I recommend it as a venue for any occasion. Thank you again to all of the staff - you know that I will keep visiting with friends and colleagues!More

Our first visit to Hector And Noble Pub. They were very flexible in extending our starting time as we ran late. They were extremely dog welcoming and scored an extra point for immediately asking if our dog wanted a bowl of water. A fantastic section...selection of beers and some ales. We didn’t see the wine menu so cannot comment on choice. Tables are a little cramped together but there is a good atmosphere. Sunday lunch menu was limited. A choice of lamb, beef or chicken roast, a burger or a nut roast vegetarian. £14 per main roughly. Plates were warm but not hot. Potatoes were plenty and good selection of veg but could’ve done with more bright greens. Nice gravy. The portion of meat was very small indeed and not the greatest quality regarding fat and meat ratio (see picture). I alerted staff to the size of portion and they apologised and brought me an extra portion of lamb at no extra charge. All in all, a great place to visit and we will definitely return but don’t expect a massive meat portion for your money.More

Hector and Noble need to have correct information regarding their opening times. Came from Cambridge to start a days walking with brunch. Website and notices in window says opening time is 10.00 am. Got there and was told “sorry guys open at 11am”. Not impressed....If opening times have changed then change your website.More

What can I say? All at Hector and Noble are simply amazing!! You created the most fantastic, special, magical party for my daughters 21st birthday - A memory we will treasure for life. The attention to detail (in all aspects of the arrangements as well...as room decor) from Ara was incredible - care and thoughfulness way beyond what I would have expected. The food was sensational, so many people commented on how good it was, no doubt you will get loads of our guests as new customers. Pete and Ara you are kind, helpful and professional. What a great team all round. So many friends and family said how great the staff were helped make the atmosphere. You should be so proud of what you've created at H&N. We can't thank you guys enough.More

I was visiting friends in London over the weekend and came to the Hector and Noble for a few cocktails and a Sunday roast. The food was absolutely delicious! One of the best but roasts I’ve had! Even though it was a Sunday evening it...was a really great atmosphere and had lively buzz about it, the staff were attentive with food table service were super friendly. I’m definitely going to come back and try out the weekday menu (and hopefully see some more cute doggies!)More
