Have been to this shop on many occasions and always have one of the many different types of cupcakes on offer and a nice pot of tea.With it being a small shop you experience the personal touch a lot more and first class service. There...is a good choice of cakes to choose from and all delicious and freshly made to eat in or takeaway. My sister, mam and I, dropped in to Songbird Bakery for a cupcake and a pot of tea while in Middlesbrough. The cupcakes were amazing and we even got some to take away for the rest of the family to enjoy!

The girls at Songbird made my daughter an amazing caramel drip birthday cake. From our first discussion they were friendly and approachable, and between us a were able to plan a cake that was just what I wanted - a caramel drip with added macaroons,...white chocolates and fresh roses. It tasted as good as it looked! I would not hesitate to recommend the girls to anyone if you are looking for a friendly, efficient service.More

My first visit to Songbird was a wonderful personalised experience uncommon in bigger establishments. The service was second to none, the food, in our case a high tea, was delicious and dietry needs happily accomodated for. I fully recommend a visit but make sure you...book a table!!!More

Visited with the family for Christmas afternoon tea a few weeks ago. The service of the staff and quality of the food was really top notch. The cafe itself is very cosy and welcoming. Mint hot chocolate was to die for Will definitely visit again.

We had high tea at Songbird Bakery, £10 each, booked in advance, we got large hot chocolates, cheese scones, fruit scones, brownies and cupcakes.... so much we could eat most of it so it was boxed up for us to take with us. Great people...running this place and baking the delicious goodies, friendly and welcoming and a great feel to the shop / cafe. Highly recommend.More

After eating at fhe superb Fork in the Road, we called here for cupcakes to take home with us for afternoon tea Such a pretty little place with pastel coloured tables and chairs to seat a few customers We bought four fabulous looking cup cakes...to take out at £6 for four from a very pretty, smiling member of staff They were absolutely gorgeous A lemon meringue, a malteser, a strawberry and cream, and one my cousin ate in fhe car before we got home! Visited here with a friend for a cuppa. The cakes are beyond good and I am pleased to see they are now offering their wonderful brownies (and blondies) not just on Fridays (the salted caramel and the Jammie dodger varieties are yummy!). It was quiet...in the cafe but the proprietor thoughtfully busied herself in the kitchen so as to not impact on our ability to talk. I can also highly recommend their birthday cupcakes; my son had the pug ones and the football cakes (with Boro shirts with his name and age) for his and they went down a storm at his party. The prices are not unreasonable either.More

Since Songbird Bakery opened I've loved visiting. They are so creative with their cake flavours and they always look amazing. Went in for a pot of tea and a cake one day and they couldn't do enough for you. Lovely spot for a quiet cuppa.

Amazing cupcakes! Variety of flavours available! We sampled 6 for £9 which is really reasonable based on the quality and ingredients that must have been used! Would highly recommend! We took ours home but there is space to sit and eat with a drink too!
