A short walk round the corner to The Stap is great. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Ask if you have special dietary requirements as they will do what they can. For example creating a vegan meal from the existing menu with no fuss. The food is always good and piping hot. No small portions in this pub (unless you... More

Visited last night with my best friend for a catch up to exchange Christmas presents and have a meal. I had the gammon, egg and chips and it was lovely. My friend got the steak and chips and it was cooked to perfection medium rare for £6.50 you can't fall off. Wine was nice and we had a lovely table... More

Visited today with work colleagues and ordered the chicken and chorizo burrito-awful! It said it came with guacamole, sour cream and salsa. When it arrived I asked where they were and the waitresses said 'in it' I could not see or taste any! It basically was a wrap with rice no chicken or chorizo. My 4 friends who ordered the same meal... More

Went with the family (13 people including kids) for Sunday lunch recently and had a nice time. Extremely busy but the service was excellent. The food menu, whilst not inexpensive, was varied and overall reasonable. The food itself was nice, plentiful and piping hot. All in all, a very pleasant hour was spent in charming surroundings.
