A Perfect Saturday Night

Visited for the first time with 2 friends, very welcoming! After being seated, we asked if we could move tables to another room and the owner was very accommodating and moved us straight away. The cocktails were absolutely fabulous so much variety traditional and unique tasting cocktails. We asked to be surprised and they brought us over “sushi sours” they were delicious! The owner Alejandro was attentive to us all evening, and would keep coming to check on us, the bar staff were great too. The fact the place was independent rather than a chain, made it so much more unique & quirky. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening not to mention we got a taste of a new cocktail coming soon & look forward to when it’s added to the menu. We’ll definitely be visiting again, see you soon 🙏🏼

Amazing food absolutely on the spot of being South American Latin tastes, to die for cocktails and great prices the best place for pre food and drinks, the chef is from Brazil so definitely knows his stuff. I will be back here again very soon and I can’t wait. Ps. The Margarita is made with real limes and is the best in Norwich.

Found by accident but what a lovely place

We had booked a table at Revolution and if was so awful we left. We were looking for somewhere to eat that would cater for a gluten and dairy intolerance. We wandered past Copa Cubana and there was a lovely smiling lady outside of the restaurant who we asked about the above. The lady explained that her husband was the chef and had cooked for her when she was gluten and dairy intolerant and that we would be looked after, and we were. The cocktails were fabulous and the food really good. We were made to feel very comfortable and really well looked after. A really lovely evening. Thank you all so much.

Rude staff, awful food

While the cocktails were good, unfortunately that was where the positive experience ended. We ordered food (at £5 a plate) and were served three prawns, some deep fried ‘Cali Mari’ which barely resembled anything close to squid, a ‘Brazilian sausage empanada’ (a frankfurter sausage covered in batter and deep fried) and a an unidentified deep friend meat dish which resembled a puck of breaded dog food. When we advised the waiter of our disappointment with the dishes, his resolution was to try to bring over a member of the public who apparently told him their calimari was ‘the best squid she’d ever eaten’, rather than actually acknowledge the disappointing food. Sadly unless this particular lady frequently ate out of bins, I highly doubt that this individual existed. We found our server to be dismissive and unhelpful. While we made it clear from the start we never wanted a refund but to pass on our feedback, our servers only response was to suggest we ‘talk to the boss’, as if this was some sort of intimidation technique. Overall a really subpar experience, 2 stars because the cocktails were nice but do not touch the food!

Great food, great place, just great!

Awesome place. Great atmosphere and the waitress/hostess was fantastic. The food was lovely vey nice home cooked and fresh. The head chef came out and spoke to us after we finished eating, he was very nice and friendly. Would highly recommend this little hidden gem, and will defo come back! Great value for money as well!

Best Cocktails in Norwich! 🍹

I can’t recommend Copacubana enough!! I went with 2 friends on a Saturday night and it was so lovely to be in such a welcoming atmosphere and enjoy some delicious cocktails. Alejandro was incredibly accommodating and the other staff were so friendly and surprised us with some great unique cocktails! What I loved most was the personal touches and service which really made our night. It was great to support a local independent business, especially in these times, and Copacubana really made us feel safe, regularly sanitising the tables and maintaining social distances. I’ve been in Norwich for over 2 years and this is my favourite bar I’ve been to since. It is one of a kind and I especially recommend the ‘Sushi Sour’ cocktail and the ‘Madeleine’! Thank you so much Copacubana ❤️🍸

Definitely recommend

Liked the look of the menu- not extensive but enough on it for some variety so we booked a table and so glad we did!! Food was delicious, plenty of flavour and portion sizes for the tapas were good without being too much! Service was excellent- speedy and not overly fussy. We also got chatting to the owner (I think) who was friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. The free birthday shot for my wife was an added bonus!!!

Hidden Gem!

What a great little friendly place this is! My gf and I just came for drinks (already eaten) - but will certainly try the food next time. Such a great atmosphere. One of the customers was so impressed with the Chirizo - that he said it made him want to dance?! I think I'll be ordering the 'Dancing Chirizo' next time! Great vibe... at 21:30 the music ramps up and Laura showed off her Salsa dancing and persuaded others to join. A really good night. Will certainly be back.

Very disappointed. The service was terrible, first the drinks came separately. Then we had bread & garlic dip, the bread came & went cold as the garlic dip didn’t come until the end of the meal. The tapas were microwaved & the meatballs weren’t very hot. It was very cold in there, & the place didn’t look very clean . The best point is our very friendly helpful waitress.

Warm, and welcoming bar with a hint of crazy!

We last visited this bar over 2 years ago, and it’s like coming home! A warm welcome awaits you, and the expert bar staff put on a great show, mixing cocktails! Laura and Alex have this place decorated with an individual style, crazy, eclectic, but it works, creating a relaxing, chilled atmosphere that doesn’t fail to make your heart sing. It was so good to visit again, thanks from Gary and Lorna, until the next time, adios amigos!

Amazing Coffee

This place was buzzing pre- pandemic and offers amazing coffee during the day from the window. We sit in the cathedral gardens next door and always get the Brazilian cheese balls and banana cake. My Brazilian wife loves the coffee!

A little gem

We found this place at lunchtime after looking at other places that were full or shut. It was perfect. We had a delicious cocktail and some very tasty tapas which was just what we fancied. After seeing a gig that evening we took our friends back here for some more cocktails and dancing. We met Alex at lunchtime who was very lovely and later on was the DJ. We shall definitely return.

Such fun salsa classes!!!

Awesome salsa classes! Laura and Matt are such good teachers; each week we learn something new and I walk away feeling more confident. I love that the classes are in small groups and we move at an achievable pace each week. I always leave class feeling so energized and upbeat; I'm onto my 3rd course now and can't wait to learn more! Highly recommend learning salsa here 💃

Such a great time learning to salsa. Laura and the team are great at teaching us new moves and everyone is really friendly. Love the music too. Would highly recommend anyone looking to learn some salsa and have an enjoyable time.

I was no surprise that Laura and the team made us feel welcome and the subsequent service was perfect .The decor and “feel “ of Copacubanna is first class and it wouldn’t have spoiled the night if the food wasn’t ! It just so happened that everything on the menu was excellent . Thank- you Laura ,we will be back for more Salsa 💃 and top Tapas
