Anniversary lunch. Found this place by accident and so pleased we did. Tucked away up an alley in a lovely old building. Everything about the place was good, the atmosphere, cleanliness, staff service and most importantly, the food. Had starters and mains and it was...all lovely, nice and hot as well. Very reasonably priced, particularly in this age of ridiculous cost. Pleased with everything we had and definitely recommend and will return. Having always visited for a glass of wine, this time my husband and I decided to entertain some colleagues. Food is excellent and the service is one of the best we ever experienced in the UK. We dined on Friday night and only 2 tables were occupied which led to a lack of atmosphere. The food and service was good and hopefully we just went on a quiet night. The sea bass was fantastic.

Had a great lunch with my husband here. Friendly staff welcomed us and the menu was good, with specials board too. We had a delicious cod dish, which was gluten free and very tasty: presentation was excellent. Would recommend.More

A hidden gem next to Norwich Market, I’d recommend giving this place a visit. All food made and cooked on the premises delicious.Excellent service.

Visited The Wine Cellar for a couple of drinks on a hot day. There was seating in the courtyard outside area, however we chose to seat in the cellar itself. Nicely air conditioned and there is a tremendous choice for wines.

Excellent venue. Was busy with a good atmosphere but service was still prompt. Food very well priced. Particularly recommend the Clarke sausages and onion mash.

Pleasant atmosphere and nice décor indoors, outdoor courtyard rather shabby and grubby. Avoid the starters and desserts, extremely small portions for £8.95. Steaks were good, fish portion on the small side. Meals nicely presented and tables well laid out.It was our first meal there but...we won't return because of the overpriced and small servings for some of the meals on the menu.More

Visited as part of a day out in Norwich with friends and was very disappointed with the experience. One of the wait staff was pleasant, the other rude and dismissive. The food was tasty but overpriced. Overall the service was poor and there seemed to...be an attitude of friends and family welcome, paying customers ignored. Had a lovely meal with friends. The choice of food was very good and catered for everyone at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will go back in the future.

I love a roast on a Sunday. Hubby doesn’t. So what more could I want than the tenderest of roast beef, the tastiest roast potatoes, lovely large yorkie, and a plank. Plank you ask. Yes a board with a dish of assorted green veg, a...bowl of cauliflower & broccoli cheese & a generous extra jug of gravy. Roast beef tender unlike other experiences. As a roast lover what’s not to like. Now let’s look at the non roast loving hubby. So he has the benefit of a double page menu of no roast delectables as well as a specials board. Fish, poultry, steaks, omelettes, large plates, small plates. And more. The service is exceptional and the surroundings interesting and comfortable. True to the name the wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. You can eat in the bar at the front or the restaurant at the rear.More
