I popped in here for a snack and a warm up on a damp drizzly day. It's a fab little corner on one of Norwich's oldest streets. We had a great welcome from a young girl who offered us a table straight away. We both chose sausage roll and salad. The sausage roll was tasty and home made with some... More

My wife and I have been to Norwich a number of times so know our way around the city. My wife liked the look of the quaint Britons Arms on Elm Hill. So we went in for coffee. Only three tables for coffee customers ? The other tables were for lunch customers ? Draw your own conclusions! The young girls... More

This cafe/restaurant is lovely, we go for tea and cake regularly. It's quite old fashioned (in a really good way) and the food is home cooked and delicious.

Had a look around Elm Hill and Tombland and decided to go back to this quaint coffee house and restaurant. Thank goodness we did. Had spiced punch which was lovely on a cold day. Food fabulous - 5 out of 5. I didn't have room for a desert but my family who were with me managed to squeeze one in... More

The area and the building are historic and beautifully preserved. Inside is quaint and full of character. I set by the fireplace, enjoyed a lovely cappuccino and home made authentic food.

I love it here, the staff are just down-to-earth and always warmly welcome you. The food is very good quality, feels like top choices from Delia or Nigella, generous portions. We had lovely home-made sausage and onion pie, fish pie, both served with generous salad mix. Old-school atmosphere in old worldly part of the city, beautiful Elm Hill region. The... More

Well, the sausage and spinach quiche with rice and salad wasn't historic! It was freshly made and made an excellent lunch. The building is a quirky historic one and has the expected nooks and crannies. Staff were helpful and service good. As our bill was over £20, it was something of a surprise that they didn't take card payments. Fortunately... More

I visited with a friend as I had not been since they had reopened after they have had building / kitchen work carried out. When we arrived it was very quiet but we ordered our drinks and they were duly served by a friendly (if new & nervous) member of staff. Our lunches arrived (I had the salmon quiche and... More
