Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent food, really great service, staff chatty and helpful. Pub has a nice local atmosphere without being intimidating. Darts and other thing to do. Would definitely have the new Inn burger again!

We are on a boating holiday from brundall so found this on our travels. We ordered evening meals - steak for me and bangers and mash for my husband. Both were absolutely beautiful the steak was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. Service was very...good and everyone so pleasant - happy to chat too. Look this one out if you are on the broads it is definitely a lovely place to eat .More

Superb service with friendly welcoming barman. Meal though was disappointingly bog average. The southern fried chicken was like a bullet on the outside, the crispy coating was armoured. The chicken inside though was amazingly juicy and tender and the spices were flavorful. The battered fish...looked like part of it had lost a battle against a blow torch Burger was tasty but with a light coating of burn. Shouldn't have been issues with food as we were the only ones eating so kitchen wasn't rushed. Given great staff, timely arrival of food and good ale (latte tasted like it used UHT milk though) and fair pricing we'd give it another go at a later date and hope the food is better.More

I've had the Wednesday fish and chips takeaway from The New Inn here at Rockland St Mary 2 week's running and I think that it is fantastic! I pre-order, and collect at the agreed time, and its perfectly cooked in homemade beer batter and comes...with a choice of chips or fries, garden or mushy peas, and tartare sauce. Gluten free batter is also available. It's a warm and wonderful environment to collect from, and you can keep dry even if it's raining! Wednesday fish and chips takeaway or eat in is every Wednesday 6pm - 9pm. It's delicious, and now the Wed fish van has retired I can still get my fish fix.More

After a 45 minute wait my chicken curry finally arrived and at £12 the very small portion was a total rip-off! The rice was a tad plasticy and one of my poppadoms was absolutely saturated in grease! The flavour and presentation were nothing special either.

Friendly staff, good pub type food. Some of our party ordered more exotic items on the menu. I would recommend sticking to the basic non-fancy food. Owner was dog friendly.
