The place looks great, but that's about it. We waited 20 minutes for a pot of tea and an apple juice. The food arrived 30 minutes after placing our order. We ordered 2 house breakfasts and when they finally arrived they weren't particularly hot, and the portions were stingy for the price. On tiny piece of shrivelled bacon. It was... More

Catering for both vegan and gluten free can be a bit of an issue. Thankfully House caters for both dietary requests and those with allergies. Eclectic decor and and an ocd nightmare of mismatching crockery works for this cafe. Staff are friendly and helpful - thanks folks!

Went back to House after a gap of a year or so having tried other establishments. The full house breakfast is still superb - one of the best anywhere. Home made ciabatta and lashings of proper butter to go with the usual fry up ingredients. Lovely coffee and fresh orange juice too. If you want a proper "fat boys breakfast"... More

This cafe bizarrely smells like a musty charity shop (probably the old sofas by the door) but the quirkiness is nice, staff friendly too. Unfortunately our breakfasts were a let down, we ordered eggs benedict but all our eggs were cold and some were undercooked, so had to leave lots on our plates!

I booked a table in advance for my family for a birthday breakfast. On arrival we waited 10 mins before someone took our order, whilst watching other people who had walked in being served. The pot of tea arrived quite promptly, 2 of the kids milkshakes arrived 15 mins later and then my daughters milkshake arrived 30 mins after that. We... More

Visited here for the first time on Saturday to kick off my friends stag and it's potentially my new favourite breakfast location in Norwich. The service was great (with the waitress being the right amount of sarcasm and joining in the stag-like banter), the home made hash-browns were sheer perfection and they even sold glasses of milk by the pint... Came here on a Sunday morning after spending ages trying to arrange a breakfast with friends, with limited choice due to one of our party being vegan. There aren't too many places to sit, but it's worth the wait. Seen a few people on here commenting on staff not being attentive, this wasn't the case at all. Lovely staff, gingerbread... More

There are a lot of nice cafe's and coffee shops on St Benedict's street, but having tried the majority I can say that House is definitely the best! Absolutely love it here, the coffee is amazing and so is the food. Service is great -the staff are all very nice and helpful. Seriously recommend anything on the menu because it's... More

Me and my partner have been here quite a few times, usually when we have friends visiting. I can't remember the last date but it was later last year... It's in a nice location on St Benedicts Street which is a little bit away from the high street. The staff are always friendly and the food is yummy! It's a... More

We received a friendly service in this cafe with a lovely brownie and tasty coffee and tea. This is the second time we came to Norwich and the second time in the cafe. Really nice place
