4 of us ate at Pinocchio’s last night as part of my birthday celebrations. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambience and you definitely feel like you are in a ‘proper’ Italian restaurant.
The food was generally good. Risotto. Pizza, Tagliatelle all pleased. I ordered...the cannelloni which whilst was tasty was on the smaller side. That is fine, but I would have appreciated more guidance from the person taking our order to help maximise the enjoyment of my meal. Perhaps suggesting a side or side salad. I ended up finishing way before my dining companions, and was still hungry..
The service was fairly attentive but we felt a little rushed (I understand that turnover of tables is important for the restaurant) but there is a way that can be done without feeling like you are an inconvenience.
We had to ask for the dessert menu (ie we wanted to spend more money with them, and I was still hungry after my cannelloni). Mid-dessert the bill was abruptly brought over to us without any communication and whilst at least one person was still eating. (We had been at our table maybe no more that 75/80 mins at this point).
So overall fine-good but as some constructive criticism to the restaurant, the experience could be much better with some focus on better communication. ✌🏻More
