We wanted to have fish and chips in Whitby and Trenchers did not disappoint. We had a lovely tea. We shared a mixed starter that included melt in mouth crab and a range of salmon. We both had regular haddock and chips, one in gluten...More

Came her for lunch after passing by loads of times in the past. Both had fish and chips (small portion was enough for me), with tea, b&b etc. Tasty and hot, quick service. Good, friendly service from all staff. Clean throughout including the loos.

Great food in a very busy place. I can imagine that in summer this place is difficult to get into. Meals where hugh and beyond my ability to eat.

I can't be sure. But I seem to think there is an option for gluten free. The restaurant itself pays a great deal of attention to the needs of customers. So if any fish and chip shop had a gluten free option, I would... More
