Fab location on Shambles market, menu was hard to choose from as looked so good, food was very tasty, portions massive particularly for price, finally staff were all really friendly. On a very freezing snowy day we came to TMK for Restaurant Week, not knowing it was outside! But we grabbed the pizza fries to share (HUGE portions) and it was worth sitting in the freezing cold for. They were so delicious! We asked them...to be made vegetarian so no pepperoni but it didn't matter. The cheese and tomato sauce was so good, I miss it already.More

Having read the reviews we just had to try this place. Opted for the Katsu curry loaded fries and weren't disappointed. This was Mrs Elstons first taste of Katsu and she loved it. Very generous portion and taste was superb. We shared a portion and...it was plenty for both of us. Go and you won't be disappointed. The music wasn't too bad either! Amazing, I got the dirty chilly fries. The chilly is made out of beef brisk it and is just spot on and the portion size is very generous. My partner got the cheesy buffalo chips. Buffalo sauce was amazing chicken was spectacular. I read the...reviews and though well it's probably good. No it's not good it's just amazing. Best 'fast food' I've ever eaten. Visited here today. Food was really really good despite being very busy. My husband and I were so impressed with the thoughtfulness displayed by staff. Staff really went out of their way to make sure the food served was just right for our little grandson....I was told (without asking) what spices etc are normally used and asked if I wanted them omitted. He also served the dish a little cooler. Thank you for going above and beyond.More

I found this place online before a trip to York with my daughter. We ordered small pizza fries and small katsu fries. They were both amazing BUT we didn't even manage 2 thirds of them and I felt so wasteful. I wish we had just...got 1 portion but even choosing 2 from the selection was a difficult choice. I'll definitely go again but maybe with more people so I can taste everything. The service was also amazing, there was a 20 minute wait but they give you a pager so you can go and continue looking round the market until it is ready. It was such a busy day but all of the orders were coming out thick and fast and there were lots of happy diners.More

We had this on our list to visit during our weekend in York and it didn't disappoint! We made the mistake of ordering a small mac and cheese and a large katsu fries to share between two of us... The food is consistently fantastic, the portions are huge, value is amazing when you compare it to the high street chains and quality never disappoints. Christian and his amazing team work very hard to ensure every dish that goes out is tip top. When they...are busy, you might have to wait 10 or 15 minutes but it’s worth it because you know you’re getting individually prepared dishes. I've had a lot of street food from a lot of places around the country, but nothing prepared me for this! First off, the "small" portion was more than most places give you in their larges. Second, the flavours and quality of ingredients were off...the charts for a food van. The guys running it were friendly, they have those electric buzzers to tell you when the food is ready so there is no queue and you can keep looking around the nearby market. All in all, I can't fault it on a single thing.More
