A great little restaurant that has a menu with some different dishes that are a welcome change from the usual as well as all the favourites. Great flavours, nicely presented food, friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Samosas were possibly the nicest I've had, not...greasy like many, the Aloo Tikki was lovely, main courses were also very good, Lamb Sindhu curry and Jhinga Biryani both recommended . Returned after visiting last October. Warm welcome Delicious mango lassi. Onion bhaji & prawn starter so flavourful. Sindhu chefs special had layers of flavour..so good. Garlic naan was tasty. Great value.More

We visited the Atithi on Monday evening while we had a two night stay in York. The food we had was the BEST INDIAN FOOD that my wife and I had and we have visited over the years. The staff were excellent in their knowledge...and explanation as to our choices.The food was different to other restaurant offerings and this was also a well received change. We found the prices to be more than reasonable and real value for money. We would recommend the ATITHI to everyone looking for EXCELLENT FOOD at GREAT PRICES. See you all again ATITHI soon. The ambience of the restaurant was great. The greeting of staff was quite amazing with a smile on their face & good eye contact. The food was mouth watering with the aroma & the dessert was yummy..I prefer to visit one more time.
