Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited phillyaboots cafe again last sunday for a much much recommended roast and I was not disappointed! The roast dinners are to die for! I had the beef and my partner had the pork (with crackling!). Everything was cooked to perfection and such a reasonable price for the sizeable portions. The yorkshire puddings, that were clearly home made, were the best we’ve ever had. We thought we’d get something sweet for after and both chose some brownie which were also amazing! We’ll be back soon, definitely definitely recommended x

I recently visited the newly opened cafe with my husband. After seeing advertisement on facebook we thought we need to go and see what all the fuss is about! We rang up and spoke to the lovely woman who owns the cafe and she booked us a table very efficiently. When we arrived there was outside seating which we chose to sit at instead which wasn’t a problem at all. Me and my partner had the black pudding scotch egg with salad which was absolutely perfect! We then had some homemade fruit scones with jam and cream which we throughly enjoyed. We saw the cakes displayed and couldn’t resist taking some home for the kids! All in all we really enjoyed our visit and will be returning soon xxx

Firstly, we felt totally protected here - COVID hasn`t managed to spoil this place at all. Everything is spotless, well spaced out & safe. The service is so friendly and efficient and the food is absolutely gorgeous! We both had Eggs Benedict Royale and this is the best Hollandaise sauce I have ever tasted - the eggs were perfect and the muffin fresh and soaked in butter. This is a little haven and I can`t wait to go back to try something else on the menu. I would highly recommend this lovely little cafe - we think it`s fab!

This cafe has only just opened up, but it seems they've really made their mark already. The menu is extensive. I had the eggs royale, which was absolutely lovely! The hollandaise sauce, which can be the make or break of the dish, was perfect. The cappuccino was lovely too. My friend had the chorizo and avocado on toast with a green tea, which she very much enjoyed as well. I bought a take-out cheese scone for my mum which she enjoyed. The service was fantastic and very friendly. I'm looking forward to returning again.

What a little gem. Very extensive menu forget at is a smallish naiads but does have extensive seating outside. Fabulous food. Good COVID safe policies in place. Friendly place which I would strongly recommend. Served breakfast to lunch to coffee cake sandwiches and they now have a licence but not yet stocked with alcohol. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent prices

Me and my family recently visited Phill ya Boots cafe again after enjoying it so much the first time. They are doing so well to say they can only do takeaways at the moment. I ordered one picnic box for me and my partner and there was more than enough for both of us for only £18.95. I would definitely recommend! I can’t wait for them to be able to open fully.

Ordered a takeaway picnic box from here for a day out for myself and my Aunt. Vicky took our preferences and asked what we would like in the box and what we wouldn’t like. It was perfectly made with everyone we liked and presented beautifully in a big box, with another box full of yummy cakes! The Jaffa orange cake was amazing, and the chicken tikka baguette was stunning. Thankyou Phill!

We visited here today for a quick lunch and was not disappointed!!! the sandwiches were amazing and great value for money. In fact my 8 year old son went as far as saying it was the best sandwich ever! Nothing was to much hassle and the chef was happy to make up a ham and cheese sandwich especially for my son!!! the cafe is beautifully laid out, decorated and clean. The staff are equally as wonderful, kind, friendly and helpful with big smiles! We will definitely be back soon (There are lots of things on the menu we can't wait to try!)

My wife and I live round the corner and are already familiar with the great quality food from Phill’s - but today we ordered the picnic box and we’re absolutely blown away. Lots of fresh, high quality and tasty food; cheeses, meats, quiche, scotch egg, sandwiches and an assortment of cakes. All for £18.95. Great food and brilliant value. Get one while it lasts, will be recommending to everyone.

We ordered a picnic box for the races. Wow it was amazing and there was so much food! We were given two boxes, one with savoury food including a variety of sandwiches (all catered to us being vegetarian) and then the second box with deserts. Amazing food and customer service from Phill and his family. We would definitely recommend! Thank you x

Well where to start with this simply undiscovered gem of a melting pot of flavours and amazing dishes! We called on a Saturday morning, 3 adults and a very hungry little treasure! It was late morning so between us we decided on eggs benedict, maple pulled pork pancake stack , full English and beans on toast for the little treasure… The food was simply amazing, fresh, hot, coordinated with lovely touches of milk churns with amsauce in, they were amazing with our little one and adapted a recipe to suit us. Lovely service, inspired menus and a lovely neighbourhood atmosphere. This is what service and great food looks like/ a true delight for a Saturday morning

A regular visitor to this fantastic, family run cafe. Whether you’re after a good breakfast, a lovely lunch, a delicious sweet treat, or just a coffee you’re unlikely to be disappointed by what they have to offer. Phill Your Boots is family friendly, & the service is great, you always receive a warm welcome. Inside is cosy, whilst there is plenty of outside seating available too.

Stopped for lunch. I had all day breakfast and my better half had chicken Kiev The food was freshly cooked using local supplied ingredients. Quality was excellent and staff were very friendly. It was so good we also purchased some takeaway savouries and cakes for tea. Highly recommended

I recently visited Phill Ya Boots for a small get together with friends, it's local to where I live and a real gem in the community. The food was gorgeous, the meat used and served is as locally sourced amd fresh as you could find (next door!) and so so good! Freshly baked yummies galore, be it gluten free brownies to homemade christmas chocolates to speciality sausage rolls and scones. I also saw that bigger appetites are catered for too from steaks to fish pies, it really is more than standard cafe fare and I took note of the menu for future visits ;) The owners are an independant local couple who own and run this warm and friendly place, did I mention Phil himself is a highly experienced professional chef, hence the amazing grub and Vicky alongside him always has a big smile and plenty of friendly chat. I genuinely recommend this lovely cafe, it's really worth making the trip for wherever you are. Many thanks for the food and drinks folks, we'll be back very soon. :)

What an amazing find. Lovely little cafe right in the middle of a housing estate. VERY worth the trip. We had a full English breakfast each, it was probably the best breakfast we've ever had. Superb quality ingredients perfectly cooked, and the staff or so friendly, we felt very welcome. Can't wait to go back!
