Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous brunch. We all had the standard size full English and the portions were plentiful and delicious. Everything was cooked well and using top quality ingredients. The scrambled eggs were probably the creaminess and most buttery I have ever had. Can't recommend enough, just wish...we were closer and would be able to enjoy more often.More

What a lovely place this is. Went with a friend as a last minute thing, on arrival the cafe was full, so we turned to leave. As we got outside I heard a lady call to ask if we still wanted a table, we did...and the table had just become available. The staff were so friendly, promptly clearing the table for us and letting us get settled. Our drinks and food order was taken and shortly after our food arrived. What a cooked breakfast it was too. Delicious and filling. What a great little place this is with the most amazing staff. Thank you so much Phill Ya Boots 🤩More

What a little gem. Possibly the best bashed avocado I've ever had, it was delicious. Spoilt for choice and generous portion sizes. Even though I was full, I couldn't resist something sweet and a coffee. Friendly staff. Left feeling suitably stuffed! Will return to try...something else on the varied menu. Can definitely recommend.More

We had an excellent lunch with our 88yr old Mum yesterday. We all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and were very well looked after. We would certainly go again. The menu offered a wide and interesting choice. Thank you for making the day so memorable.

I have been a regular visitor since not long after Phil and Vicky opened their wonderful cafe, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. The food is all freshly cooked or homemade, so you know you are getting quality. No, they...are not the cheapest cafe, but that's not why you'd visit. You'd come for the friendly atmosphere. You'd come for the gorgeous food. You'd come for the family favourites and the seasonal specials. I often visit on my own and always feel very welcomed. If you're in Woodthorpe and don't pay a visit, then you are missing out.More

The staff here were, as always, very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Great selection of home made food to choose from, all reasonably priced, and my meal was amazing! Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit.

Went here for breakfast, nothing specal, and it is very overpriced for what you get . Soggy brown toast not given a choice of white or brown one small sausage and small portion of other items, not what you expected for nearly a tenner. Theres...better deals to be had nearer. Only saving grace was coffie was ok and staff niceMore

I don't understand how people are giving this cafe good reviews as yesterday I went with my sister and for £6.50 each we had the worst breakfast rolls we have ever eaten. 1 egg 1 mushroom 2 slices of tasteless bacon- one of which was...actually grey with bits of black 2 sausages which we had to peal the skin of as it was like thin plastic we couldn't bite through & the insides were tasteless mush that we couldn't eat anyway it was so bad and the bun was like a wet soggy mess that was inedible. We also bout a steak pie for £6 looked lovely but dry as a bone inside- I will feed th bits of meat to my dogs so not totally wasted I suppose. I don't ever write reviews unless it's nice but this was so bad I felt I had toMore
