Great drinks, great service and a good atmosphere. Six of us went on Saturday night and really enjoyed it. We were eating at the restaurant next door so it was the perfect place for pre dinner drinks.

Every time we visit York we dine here. We’ve eaten 5 times this year alone already. Service and food is always great. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict and the salmon dish for lunch. Always a smile waiting for you.More

We were lured in by the amazing voice of the female singer on Sunday early evening whilst at a loose end. What a great hour spent here!! 2 for £12 cocktails that were superb. Staff were brilliant and the singer (and her keyboard friend) incredibly...talented. Worth a visitMore

We popped in for couple of drinks, there was some invitations from disco ball heads, and we enjoyed a lot. The atmosphere was so cozy, and cheerful. Loved it!

Went for cocktails after we had dinner in ate o’clock, the staff was so kind with great service. The cocktails were soo delicious!! The Bar man Conor was so polite and passionate about cocktails when he make them. It was funny to have after 8...coctail. Especially eating at restaurants side. Wich called Ate Oclock :) Even he give us little explanation. We will be definitely back.More

We had fab time at Social ate. We only came for a drink but we stayed for hours and tried several cocktails, they were soo good, the staff provided brilliant service. Had so lovely time there.More

Me and my partner visited here and what a fantastic experience we had. Great cocktails , staff were friendly and attentive the whole time. We were so lucky to grab a table as it was packed out. We decided to grab a bite to eat...off the small plates menu, I had sliced steak which was cooked to perfection and my partner had the crispy pork belly cubes. The food came quick and was so tasteful. There was not one fault and we will definitely be visiting again soonMore

Great bar, service very good and friendly, we thought that the drinks were going to be expensive looking at the Bar but was pleasantly suprised to find that they were perhaps a bit cheaper than several other pubs we had been in earlier

My partner and I popped in for some pre-dinner cocktails and they were fantastic! The staff on shift were incredible, and service was quick and very pleasant.

Visited yesterday first time here won’t be our last. Lewis the waiter was absolutely fantastic he could not have been more helpful and attentive to our group. Really made our visit. Give that lad a bonus! Ps bar staff could work on how to make...a good mojito! Will be back for food next time as that area looked lovely it’s a very pretty bar.More
