Great food but let down by service. I was basically ignored. Started well but could not attract anyone's attention to order another drink so just didn't bother. Struggled again to get anyone's attention to get the bill and eventually pay. Not sure why this was...so problematic as there were at least 3 staff members gathered at the bar right in front of me at any given time but they just weren't paying attention which proved so frustrating that I left without leaving a tip which is not something I ever do.More

Delicious meal, with good vegan options and multiple vegan ice creams! The best vegan affogato I've had in years! Good wine list too.

We had a very nice meal here, very friendly staff and a nice quiet environment. I had the diavolo pizza which was one of the best I have had in a while.

I come here very often with my kids. The food is amazing, and gelato is so good. Last time, they did tartufi with chocolate,was so so good. I hope they make that again. I wish this place could sell ice cream by the river. It...would be good for York.More

Our second visit, last time we were in a large group, the food was lovely but the service wasn't great. This time was worse if anything!!! Service is just awful. The food is good but ....waiting well over an hour for a main course in...a half empty restaurant is just ridiculous. Then you have to go to the counter and wait an age to pay the bill!! We won't be back.More

Our favourite restaurant. We have been here for many family celebrations and everything is always perfect. Delicious fresh food reasonably priced. Friendly and accommodating staff. We usually have a wild toddler with us and they are always so welcoming. And the best gelato around!

We picked this spot for a family meal and we were not disappointed. The waitresses were friendly, helpful and patient (we had children from 8months to 11 years with us). The food was so tasty, hot and very well priced. In particular the garlic bread...with cheese for a starter was amazing and more than enough to share. The aubergine and ricotta pasta/mushroom raveloi and the seafood pasta was all commented on..we were all more than satisfied and the icecream was delicious. We had some very picky eaters and everyone was more than happy. Every family member had a good meal..we would all highly recommend and will definitely be backMore

Fantastic place, always consistently good. Special birthday celebration of 13 people. Nothing too much trouble. Service was spot on and very fast. The food was excellent. Would definately recommend.

Given a table that wasn't ideal for our group of 4, asked if we could move only to be told all other tables were booked. One was still vacant when we left and the other given to a walk in. I was sat in a...draught for the duration with a jacket on. Ravioli was slightly under cooked and the sauce rather bland with little taste. I won't be returningMore

We have visited Trinacria on many occasions and have never been disappointed by the quality of the coffee and ice cream. What I do not understand is why they do not plan to open on Easter Monday, and perhaps close on a different day of...the week when a Bank Holiday can bring in a lot of business.More
