Was brought here by a business colleague and what a great spot. Small, welcoming and a superb cup of coffee, easily the best cup of coffee I've had in York and will be my new go to haunt in the future

Came here for a look see after lots of friends raving about it. I can see why! Superb (best in York by far) coffee, proper flat white, right volume of milk, full fat & textured too, stunning crema and perfect temperature. Hot chocolate was very...More

Really cool little place but with that, it can be very cramped and while this is good for coffee in York there are so many more places to go for great coffee. Its one of the places that look great and also has that real...More

With our latest visitors to York the walls tour starting at Baillie Hill meant this place was ideally located for a coffee stop. It was full when we arrived and folks at a couple of tables had lingered long after they had finished their drinks....More

A few minutes out of the city centre, its small inside but relatively quiet and is ideal for getting away from the crowds. We had both breakfast and afternoon cakes here, both were pretty good (pastries are recommended), coffee is not bad but not the...More

Very quirky little coffee shop, and by little I mean there's around 5 tables inside so it's pokey but cosy! Lovely staff, great coffees and some fantastic treats and snacks! Would definitely pop into here if you get the chance!

3 adults, we had a delicious breakfast with coffees all around. Super nice service and such a cute little place to sit and enjoy the sunrise! Highly recommend.

The Perky Peacock Coffee Shop is located at the perfect spot, most probably. Just below the bridge level, next to Lendal Tower, right on top of the water. It's a great spot for coffee or tea. It's actually quiet and peaceful and there are lots...More

The nicest chai latte I've ever had without a doubt, super sweet, creamy but also a mix of flavours and warmth. Yum! A welcome retreat on a rainy cold December morning. Staff really friendly. Arrived around half 9 am, a slow stream of customers but...More

When we go away we always make a point of finding somewhere outside of the hotel, even one as good as The Principal, for breakfast. The Perky Peacock is tiny, but sells great bacon sandwiches, complete with 'doorstep' bread and excellent coffee.

Hi Alice, We don't reserve seats, we just run on a first come, first serve basis. If you arrive before 10.30am, there is usually a free table for 2 free. In terms of price range, toast is the cheapest breakfast item... More
