Celebrated my bday here with my friends. Great food (my steak was perfect!) and very nice atmosphere. We were very well looked after. It is a Yes from me :)

Nice steak house just 80 yards from the Grand Opera House. Meat was good, other options available. Menu isn't too big. Staff friendly and efficient. Can get busy, best to book. Will return

Having enjoyed the restaurant at its previous location, we were looking forward to trying the new site and we were not disappointed! Great location near the river, tastefully decorated, nice atmosphere. More importantly, excellent staff especially our waiter Marek who was friendly, efficient and provided...good recommendations. My daughter booked this place for her graduation meal as she had been before and enjoyed it. Service was good and the starter was fine but the main course was barely warm. I ordered the fillet steak with fries and peppercorn sauce, my daughter ordered...the same and both were luke warm. Should’ve really sent it back for the price of it but would’ve ended up with an overcooked steak and didn’t want to cause a fuss as it was my daughters graduation celebration. My daughter didn’t finish hers. The other meals were fine. Both of us Spent the next day with stomach cramps and in the bathroom. Needless to say I won’t be going back.More

Located on King Street, York this is a good independent steak house. Steaks are great, but I was surprised to see that onion rings didn't feature on the menu. As someone with a milk allergy there are no deserts for me which was a shame.

Originally visited in September, this time brought our friends. Same exceptional service, lovely amount of banter. Didn’t feel rushed and the food was delicious, we all ordered from the set menu, all was outstanding. An extra £5 per side of veg. We had two bottles...of wine which were beautiful. We had a wonderful dinner here. Staff were so accomodating, especially with our little ones. Food was incredible. Couldn't fault a single piece of the meal. Also had an amazing cosmopoliton here too. Really deserving of it's status in York as one of the best...places to eat.More

Corner Grill house is really worth a mention! We went , two adults and a 5 year old. Don’t be put off that there is no kids menu serving the usual kids rubbish, they don’t need one, our son had prawns, some of our steak,...carrots, leaks and chips and wolfed it down. The prawns were amazing as were the steaks. I had the Porterhouse which was so good. Staff were really good too, friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back and bringing our friends too. An excellent meal in lovely surroundings and in a great location near the river. A really lovely waitress who, with the chefs, were very accommodating with my meal choices. Simple but elegant dishes that tasted amazing. Definitely recommend.

We were here for my Wife's Birthday & Wedding Anniversary , We had a lovely table near the window with a view of the flood River Ouse , We ordered of the set menu , The Chilli prawns was tasty but very spicy , The...Steaks arrive that's when my Hiccups started , The Staff couldn't do enough for me Plenty of water an even some Raspberry herbal tea , After over half an hour of hiccups i wasn't in the mood for my Steak but my wife said it was amazing , Desserts followed with another glass of the Vistamar Merlot , The staff Krzysztof , P .Tee , Marcu and Wojek made a unpleasant experience a Happy one , We will definitely return next time we visit York , Please show this review to them all including the Chef and I hope you give them all the commendation they deserve .More
