Too much quantity and food lacked quality I’m afraid.

Arrived a few minutes late (completely our fault) and apologied however we were greeted in the most unfriendly manner. The reception area was extremely busy with no control over the number of people in the small area - not Covid safe!

Takeaway. Sauces mediocre! Lack of garlic on naans! Rubber saag paneer! For takeaway try Shahi for restaurants try Bengal Brasserie or Mumbai Lounge. Not worth the money! Oh and a very rude front of house!
Over the years I’ve been to multiple curry houses throughout York but THE RAJ is unbeatable. The food is amazing, the staff are very friendly and deliver excellent service. Strongly recommend visiting if you have not already.
