We serve breakfast and home cooked food daily. Our menu is seasonal and we use fresh locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Our cakes are baked by local baker 'swirly sweet' and are to die for. We offer a full library service including issuing York Cards. We have a reading group the first Tuesday of every month, and a knitting circle every Wednesday at 1pm. Scrabble for fun is held every third Thursday and Crochet collective meet 2nd Sunday in every month. All abilities are catered for just turn up and join in. New groups are welcome just contact us to reserve your space. Children's activities, special events and parties available. Opening hours and food times vary with the park times…
Just managed to get an inside table (much reduced seating due to Covid!) and had a delicious chai latte and equally delicious pancakes with honey and fruit
Firstly, great location and nice to have a cafe at the park.
However, the food really lets the place down. Just isn't tasty at all. Tried scones, croissants, quiches. Definitely need to up their game on this front.

Love this cafe overlooking the ducks and geese on the pond in Rowntree Park. Books to browse and scones to munch, it's a favourite with the locals. Call in after a wander along the river to avoid the city centre crowds.
