Just managed to get an inside table (much reduced seating due to Covid!) and had a delicious chai latte and equally delicious pancakes with honey and fruit

Just a note to all dog owners - this cafe is not dog friendly as some reviews will suggest. Dogs are only allowed outside.

Love this cafe overlooking the ducks and geese on the pond in Rowntree Park. Books to browse and scones to munch, it's a favourite with the locals. Call in after a wander along the river to avoid the city centre crowds.

There is a large pay & display by the river, which is not too expensive for York! Free parking is around the race course but 20 mins walk away
