Not serving alcohol when your setting outside. Only serves inside. Food is okay and helpful staff. Place is quite big, lots of empty tables when we come for lunch but overheard one staff turning people down and saying their busy. 🤔

Dropped in for lunch today and despite being very busy they fitted us in with no fuss. Food was excellent with a varied choice of dishes. Some different to the usual boring menus.
Looks nice and inviting from the outside, but looks deceive. Meet and greet by middle aged waitress who abruptly said, "two is it?, sit there"! Should have walked out then. Sat down at the dirty sticky table she'd gestured towards. Very poor food....when it eventually...More

We just popped in for an afternoon cup of tea which was severed quite quickly. It came up with a free ring doughnut, interesting in itself but quite delicious. Would recommend this place.
After wandering the shambles, this café was a good place to stop and have a light lunch. There is a good selection of food on the menu and l had a nice cheese ploughmans. I would recommend eating here.
We have been here before so made a beeline for it on our first morning in York. My veggy breakfast was just perfect tomatoes cooked not burnt egg just on the edge of solid and real bread. Even my lady enjoyed her meat.....and black pepper...More
