Attended the place on my quick visit to York. Tasty food (chicken vings + a very desent fish & chips) and local ale at a fair price, as well as a friendly waitor serving. Deffo worth the visit, served my needs perfectly this evening.

Historic multi-roomed pub, great atmosphere, great beer (best kept that I have found in York over many years) and good food.

Fish and chips and pie of the day were our choices, served piping hot and delicious. Good choice of beers and gin cocktails. A lovely, welcoming place for an evening meal.

York is expensive, very expensive! Saw the 2 course offer, and had chicken wings, followed by fish and chips... Very very good in all aspects. Had a pint too and total bill was around £15. Will definitely use again, thank you.
