We visited the pub twice for drinks and food with my daughter and 3 grandchildren.The landlady and her staff are so lovely and welcoming! We were made to feel so welcome had absolutely lovely food definitely coming back here!!
Stayed for two nights staff very friendly and helpful food absolutely brilliant room comfortable and spotlessly clean - dog friendly pub - within 4 miles of York city centre direct bus from just outside well worth a visit

Our visit to the Fox involved slow service, and really mediocre food. The meat pies had hardly any meat in them, the burgers were dry, and the vegetable lasagne didn't appear to have any actual lasagne in it though we didn't get all the way...More
