A huge disappointment. We have been coming for my sons birthday for 6 years, never again. The service was dreadful, we sat for ages before they took a drinks and starters order. Ages for any food to arrive and by the time we got to...the mains the kitchen was closing. Mains, 10 people and they only bought out 6 of the dishes, this meant the birthday boy was without his meal. Finally after chasing part came out by which time rice and noodles were cold. It was impossible to get drinks refreshed and staff were disinterested. Such a shame as previous visits had been great. The price has increased so much and 10% on top meant this meal was a rip off. Spoilt the birthday family gathering.More

The all you can eat is basically a Chinese take away not traditional. You might aswell get a take away. Really disappointed. We asked to take the first main home and they didn’t let us, we didn’t even go back for seconds. They took it...away not telling us that we have to eat it all there. We only had starters lmao.More

I first tried this restaurant on Mother's Day with my family and it did not disappoint! Then I planned my birthday dinner with my girls and there were 12 of us in the group. The staff were really helpful and nothing was to much for...them. The food is amazing and fresh. Staff are very very helpful and welcoming. This is our new go to Chinese 101 %More

I have visited this restaurant some years ago , absolutely amazing ! That was a meal for three .Then again for my sons 21st with family again absolutely amazing night all you can eat ! Last night how ever for my daughters 18th ! Never...ever again ! Pre booked all you can eat , rushed to our seats ! Barley looked at the starters , and basically pushed into having the platter ! Dry tasteless food ! Surprised my chicken didn’t break our plates ! And we still have teeth ! Burnt prawn toast ! Then onto the second course ! (I passed on this only because I don’t eat duck ) it looked a complete mess embarrassingly a mess ! Not one liked it ! But with extra sauce and dressing they made it edible ! Last course .. meals missing and wrong food ! To top the ruined night the manager was rude did not careless and showed it ! £190 that the rats probably wouldn’t have ate ! But nothing can replace my daughter’s 18th ruined by that disastrous meal , accompanied by my sons and partner ! Never felt so let down! How sad this restaurant as been ruined and they don’t careless! And you can not submit this without giving them a star ! Do they deserve it ?!! No !More

Food was dry and and not that nice. Order was messed up and somehow that was our fault even though it was clear on the paper what was ordered. Staff and manager were rude!! The managers attitude was appalling. If I could give 0 as...a rating I would!!! Do not recommend at all.More

My son and I visited late afternoon on Saturday. The restaurant was busy. We were so rushed to order within 5 minutes of sitting down, we both found the food really salty and not at all tasty compared to other restaurants. I’m absolutely baffled how...they are so busy with sub standard food and so expensive. We booked the restaurant for our daughters birthday meal she had requested Chinese. We decided on the buffet and whilst the food was tasty and of good quality the service was poor. Drinks replenishment didn’t happen unless heavily requested and it was hard to gain...any attention from the waitresses. We did ask for more of a certain dish but it just never appeared and again getting anyone’s attention was near on impossible. The fact they add the service charge on too is a bit cheeky especially as the service was rubbish. I’m sure my wine was watered down too but could be wrong.More

I love the food here and eat here every time I'm in Northampton, but sadly I won't go back. There is a compulsory service charge of 10% added to every bill... I eat on my own as I always do when away working and simply...shouldn't feel obliged to pay a service charge. The waitress and manager/owner weren't interested in discussing it and basically said "that's the way it is". A real shame but I won't be forced into paying service charges. Money is at a premium and the attitude I faced when questioned it was poor at best. I'm gutted!More

This has been an awesome restaurant for 20 years, but I fear standards are slipping. The quality of the meat in last nights meal was at best, mediocre. It had also been standing around far too long. The crispy duck was crunchy, the lemon chicken...felt like it was coated in cardboard, the chicken wings were a challenge to find meat over bone & gristle. On top of that. The buffet menu on a Thursday is advertised at £21, but we were charged £23.. PLUS.. a 10% service charge.. that’s £25.30. By comparison, the Mandarin at Weston Favell is £18.99. Such a shame to see this place losing its grip.More

10 of us visited for a family lunch on the all you can eat menu. Despite most of us choosing either ribs or prawn toast with one vegetarian we were ignored and told by the older lady that the mixed starter platter was being served....We said we didn't want that. We got it anyway.After crispy duck seconds our mains were only 2/3rds of what we ordered. When we reminded the older lady that the vegetarian with us wanted tofu in blackbean ( as she'd suggested) the waitress and ourselves were shouted at. It never arrived. The food here is good. Most of the staff are great. But our Monday lunchtime family celebration was made to feel like an over ordering drunken Saturday night yob crowd. It ruined what should have been a special celebration.More

Had heard good things about the 'all you can eat' menu and this did not disappoint. Each dish was freshly cooked, full of flavour and, despite being a lot of food, we did not leave with the uncomfortable feeling that eating that much food can...often lead to. The oak smoked chicken on the starters was a favourite m, and the ribs duck were some of the best I've had at a Chinese restaurant. Promised myself I will go back for the dim sum, which too has a great reputation. The place was really busy on a Friday lunch with lots of Chinese families - gotta be a good thing. Staff were lovely too. Local gem!More
