Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Made a booking for Sunday lunch 10 days previously. Arrived on the day to be seated right next to the door. It was drafty and noisy and felt like we where in the bar area with people brushing past us. We asked to be moved....Before we could be moved the food arrived. No condiments on the table. Then told it was a bit late to be moved since our food had arrived. The food was good as always but ruined by the experience. Not a great way to celebrate my wife's 65 birthday ! All very disappointing. I appreciate the pub was busy but the service was really below standard. Adrian MatthewsMore

Just had a wonderful meal here. Even if you're not a vegan, the Indian tapas was lovely. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and would definitely recommend them. See you soon 👍

Although let’s be honest it’s not situated in the best of areas, this is a lovely place which offers delicious food at reasonable prices with really nice interior design and friendly, welcoming staff. Definitely will go again.

Have been visiting the Lamplighter for a number of years but never tried the infamous Sunday roast so we booked. Ordered a pint of Dank Marvin IPA from Abyss brewery.. awesome, and a thatchers for my wife. We ordered Roast Beef, Roast Pork and cauliflower...cheese. This was all cooked to perfection and generous portions...By far the best Roast in Northants....cant wait to return 10/10🤗More

Over Christmas and New year we have been to the Lamplighter for several Sunday roasts which has prompted me to review the pub again. Every time the meal has been fantastic! The staff are always lovely, friendly and helpful which is all part of the...atmosphere of the pub. This consistency of service and quality of all their meals has always been this way over the years of us coming to the Lamplighter. My husband is a meat eater and I'm a vegetarian. and there is always something delicious on the menu, no matter what day of the week you go. You just can't go wrong! Thanks everyone.More
