Family and I dined at Bar Iberico a couple of days after Christmas after a busy afternoon shopping and enjoying the Christmas market. The food was really tasty, especially considering the price - food this good at this price point was great value. The beef short rib with squash and pickled onions was a particular favourite.
The restaurant was busy at this time of year but the staff were helpful, friendly and the service was reasonably efficient with the different dishes coming nice and quick.
I would certainly visit again, especially to try a few of the different tapas dishes.

Wow!! What an amazing meal!!
We were in Nottingham for the weekend for my boyfriend's birthday and were recommended to try here.
We got to the bar and there was a half an hour wait, we had the option to take a pager that would flash when the table is ready or sit in the bar and have a drink, we decided to do the latter. We waited 15 mins until someone served us for our drinks but we didn't mind as they were very busy. We had cocktails and they were both lovely!
We got seated downstairs after around 40 minutes which is quieter than upstairs.
We ordered:
Crispy mushroom pinchos
Patata bravas
Wood fired Gambas
Beef flat iron steak
Calamari
Chorizo flatbread
The dishes came as and when they're ready not all together, which we knew and we're fine with. ALL dishes we had were 100/10 A M A Z I N G!! FULL of flavour, absolutely stunning dishes!! 100% worth the wait!!
We had 6 dishes and 4 cocktails and the price came to £71 which was definitely worth it with the standard of the food. Amazing quality, I can't wait to come back to Nottingham to come again here and would recommend it to EVERYONE!! Thank you!
(Track and trace was also done, sanitizer stations around the restaurant and staff had visors on- perhaps they could wear masks too?)
10/10!!

Upon arrival 2 of my 7 friends were already enjoying a drink and a catch up. I was greeted by a very friendly member of staff who took a drink order from me and advised our table was ready when we were. When all of us had arrived we were taken to our table which was downstairs in an area which seemed sectioned off from other diners which we found a bonus seeing as some of our group are somewhat loud. Orders were taken when we were ready. Food came out when we were ready. Bill came when we were ready. Every dish that we had, which was virtually the whole menu were faultless. Hot, fabulously presented, morsels of deliciousness. Our main waiter was so attentive and had a consistent smile that was in no way forced. He even took pictures for us at the end, even when faced with an overpriced, unfathomable iphone camera. One of our lot insists it's the must have thing :-) This night had everything that we could have wanted a meal with friends to be. A return visit is an absolute must.

I've eat in the restaurant a few time and been very impressed but unfortunately home delivery was very disappointing.
The flat breads were burnt underneath and do to delays with delivery the fish was massively over cooked with no flavour, the belly pork was gelatinous, and both the battered items where soggy and/or chewie depending on the bit you got.
We had tracking for delivery but its wasn't accurate, it said food had been picked up and was 7min away, 30 min later it said it was 8 min away so we called the restaurant to be told it had been delivered, but let them check the map, then was told its a few min away. Specially given I spent a months budget for eating out on this 1 meal as a special bday treat, I have learnt my lesson and will wait for it to reopen so the food is fresh.

My visit to Bar Iberico was below average. I’ve eaten a lot of tapas in Spain, and I’d have to say that sadly this doesn’t make the cut. First of all, service was painfully SLOW. The waitresses couldn’t deal with the internal and external floor space, it was clearly evident that there was a strain on the staff. This meant that I had to wait a while for any service and then eventually had to ask to order a drink. The waitress’s response was one filled with disappointment and apology. Finally, I ordered a glass of Sangria, which was served in a tiny “cup” - not a wine glass… The food finally arrived at my table in decent time. However, although the Ham Croquettes were crispy and delicious, my other plates were serious flawed. For example, the Calamari was inedible and extremely chewy as it was completely overcooked in the deep fat fryer. Baby squid only needs to be cooked lightly to ensure that it is tender & crispy! Furthermore, the Aioli served with multiple plates tasted artificial and had a very strange gloopy consistency. Aioli should be similar to Mayonnaise - not PVA glue!!! Lastly, I had to wait another long period of time to order a dessert due to a chef spilling peppers all over the floor in the kitchen. Overall, this wasn’t a great experience. Employ more staff, go to Spain and learn more about genuine tapas, serve Sangria in a wine glass, and improve your customer service.

Having been previously and had an excellent meal I was very excited to go again. Firstly staff were friendly and attentive. We decided to have the rapido lunch menu. Being coealiac, I asked if there was an alternative for the sourdough and I was told that they have non-gluten bread so I was very impressed! However I was disappointed to receive a bowl of dried up white sliced (gluten free)bread that you buy from the supermarket. Perhaps my expectation was too high that it would be a gluten free artisan bread.
I then had the spinach and goats cheeses fritters where unfortunately neither my friend nor I could taste any goats cheese at all (disappointing considering that it such a strong tasting cheese!) and the ‘caremelised’ onions were not caremelised at all, just sweated off.
Food wise- an underwhelming visit.

We popped in for food before we went to the motorpoint arena which was only 5 mins away and had a lovely meal. Menu had a good selection, We chose one of the flatbreads and a selection of the tapas dishes, food came to the table as and when it was ready and all were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful with the menu. Really recommend.

Food lovely, the only disappointing part was that when being seated the person that showed us to the table was offering water before we’d even sat down and obviously the intention was to trick us into ordering bottled water at £3.75 before we knew what we were agreeing to. Lesson learnt .... we always leave a good tip but none this time ... you won’t catch us out again.

I literally love it here. It's my favourite restaurant in Nottingham. The chicken jerez is insane and the baked picos is soooooo good. It's very reasonably priced for the quality of food you get and I recommend it to everyone wherever I go

A good friendly meet and greet, service fantastic through out, even when very busy.
Menu rapido-first class, the braised pork belly with watermelon was a triomph although sadly taken off the menu on my return visit.
Wine ( riocha) good quality, average price. A good quality tio pepe went well with the tapas also. I would reccomend a visit 8f in Nottingham..

Had a day out in Nottingham and had seen reviews of Bar Iberico on the web and it looked good, also recommended to us by a shop assistant.
Great location in a vibrant party of the city and offers outdoor and indoor seating - we were lucky to secure an outdoor table turning up without a booking and had a short wait for the table.
Food was great, good range of Tapas dishes and also a choice of pintxos.
We visited early afternoon and opted for the set price offer of 2 dishes per person plus bread and oils and it was good value for money and good portion sizes. The dishes were all excellent quality and filling
Great dining experience overall with the service being professional and friendly

Visited Bar Iberico at the end of August and had a very nice meal. We had some lovely cocktails, an Amaretto Sour and a Coconut Daiquiri, both were excellent. The dishes we ordered were the goats cheese flatbread, patatas bravas (of course), tortilla, halloumi skewers, gambas and crispy cauliflower. All were delicious, the portions were generous and the food was well cooked using fresh ingredients, the cauliflower and skewers in particular were lovley, also the gambas was fabulous, good size prawns well cooked with just the right amount of spice. The service was excellent, they were very busy but there was no lengthy delay in ordering or the food arriving. The price was also very good considering that you can pay much more than we did at other restaurants in Nottingham and not have as good food and service.

Having worked in a tapas bar for number of years previously I was keen to visit Bar Iberico on recommendation from friends. We were asked if we minded being seated downstairs which was completely fine with us. However there was a slight smell of damp and so we would advise opting for upstairs if you can.
We ordered a number of dishes from the menu, some on recommendation from our friendly waitress, and all of which sounded lovely. When our food arrived, however, it was not as expected. All of the dishes were very oily and greasy and not as you would expect in a tapas restaurant. We couldn't finish as they were very rich and heavy and left us feeling uncomfortably full. It felt more of a tapas fusion than traditional Spanish tapas. It could have been our choice of dishes but it wasn't for us.

If I have not booked a restaurant this is where I head for. You can enjoy the feel of a typical tapas bar. The staff are great and the COVID controls make you feel safe.
I like the beer and selection of dishes on offer.
Get in before 5:30 and you can take advantage of the Rapido menu offer which will save you a couple of pounds.
It is becoming more popular and they don’t take bookings unless it is a large group. I hope I can get a seat when i go back again soon.
You should be proud of the service you give in these difficult times, well done.

We ordered a takeaway to collect from the restaurant. All the dishes were as flavoursome as when we have eaten in the restaurant in the past, but the portions were larger and extremely good value. We enjoyed the chorizo, chicken, prawn and belly pork dishes. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
