A favourite of ours but sadly we haven’t been for a couple of months. Service was great, as always, friendly staff. We had our usual, bellota ham and a spanish cheeseboard followed by a choice of the hot tapas. Today’s choice was the ponzu cured...fish, fennel à la plancha and the cheese and onion empanadas. Firstly this review has no bearing on the staff and manageress as they was very nice and helpful, the manageress apologised on the kitchens behalf. The rating is for the quality and service coming from the kitchen . We have eaten here many times and...been excellent but not been in 2 years . The food was a poor standard . Chicken poor quality and toasted bread burnt hidden by tomato’s so we wouldn’t notice but you tasted the burnt . The food was pretty average on par with a boozer . The tapas service was also poor . My wife’s dish came out and nothing else for 10 minutes , we both had it slowly until the rest appeared with one starter ie bread and tomato coming last after the tapas . The manageress apologised and refunded the poor parts . Never again thanks .More

Delicious set meal at a reasonable price. Service was good, just annoyed me that they automatically added 10% Service charge & didn't mention it or advice it was added.

We tried this place for the first time on Saturday, after reading all the reviews. The positives: Great vibe, speedy service. The negatives: Food overly spicy - the Patatas Bravas was ludicrously hot. Set my tongue on fire and I couldn't enjoy the rest of...the meal because of it. I do like some spice in my food, but not enough to completely swamp it. Food was really good, however staff wasn’t helpful at all. Never came to check on us, waited long for them to bring me a knife, also they brought my friend’s food 30 minutes after mine. You wouldn’t expect this from a place proud to be...a Michelin restaurant. After all, food was great and the place really lovely.More

We popped in here for lunch on a whim - it was before 12 and we were seated and served immediately. Everything we tried was really nice. I had the seabass ceviche all to myself and it was absolutely delicious. The hispi cabbage dish was...lovely, and the cheese and charcuterie board was small but impressively delicious. I don't love truffle but the enoki mushroom dish was nice and the pickled mooli atop it was delicious. Our servers were attentive and friendly, particularly the lady with bright red hair - thank you.More

I visited with two colleagues on an overnight trip to Nottingham and we all ordered tapas to share. We had to wait for around 25 mins for a table since it was busy on a Wednesday night, so worth booking. It was worth the wait,...the food was all excellent, we all ordered tapas dishes and shared everything. Particular stand outs for me were the croquetas, pork pincho, the chicken and the gambas Pil Pil. The jamón serrano was also excellent quality. We had 10 dishes between us an without drinks it was just over £30 each including the tip. Great value for the quality. Really nicely done out restaurant too, great atmosphere and authentic tapas. My son graduated yesterday and we came here for an evening meal. The food was absolutely amazing. The meat and cheese platters, flat breads, croquettes to name a few were all delicious. The staff were great, friendly and so hard working and the Estrella perfect....We will definitely be coming back.More

We love coming here so much! Chosen this time as a treat to try the new menu and it didn't disappoint! Stand out dishes were the.... sea bass ceviche and the prawn & octopus fideua - both were outstanding, so fresh and delicious. This is...always our go to venue with friends and family - service is outstanding, quick, great wine menu to compliment the dishes and we are never disappointed. Food is always better shared and when we can fill the table with dishes & open a great bottle of wine we are always at our happiest!More
