Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was my first meal there with new owners. A great experience. Very friendly and attentive staff. The menu is really exciting and not the usual ‘pub grub’. The food was excellent. It’s a quaint place, half the pub feels like you are still in...the 1960s! Will definitely be back.More

What can I say about the food, the quality and quantity for the price charged there is only one word - fantastic. To find a genuine fish restaurant so far from the coast is very rare but this one ticks every box.

We have eaten at the Woodlark several times and it has been very good. On the evening of Tuesday, 13th February, we choose from the Thai inspired menu. The prawn toast and Pad Thai was absoutely delicious. Service was good, and the staff made time...to chat even though they were very busy. If you want a delicious, reasoinably priced meal in convivial surroundings The Woodlark is the place.More

To give 5 stars to any restaurant means in mind that everything in your experience there has to be faultless & that’s how my wife & I felt about the WOODLARK INN from start to finish not only did they serve an excellent selection of...fish dishes from Fish & Chips to wonderful Thai dishes using very fresh produce plus beautifully prepared mussels which my wife & two friends had which they all said were delicious, I had rump steak with all the accompaniments which was as good as any fillet steak I have had & cooked perfectly. Where we all found room for desserts I don’t know but we did which were all absolutely yummy from Sticky Toffee Pudding to a beautiful& light apple & almond pie to a beautiful Crème Brûlée. The owners are both delightful friendly & helpful as are the staff & showed their vast experience on how to run a extremely successful restaurant & pub from front of house to the kitchen & back again , the greatest compliment I can pay them is to say we were going out with friends in a couple of weeks to another restaurant & we were so impressed I have cancelled that booking & remade it for The Woodlark Inn & we are looking forward to going back again . Three of us visited and chose the Provençal fish stew and Thai fish curry. Both meals utterly divine. We’re regular diners and the food is always, always so good.

Our third time at the Woodlark (first time for lunch). We all went for seafood starters and mains. All absolutely perfect. Beautifully prepared and presented seafood. Generous portions. Accompanying vegetable cooked to perfection. Excellent beers and wines. Great service from a very busy waitress! Characterful...unspoiled village pub. What more could you want.More
