When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for afternoon tea. It was a retirement presents from my work colleagues. It was really nice, from being welcomed as soon as we walked in. The staff were very friendly and explained all the details of what was available to us. It was...a lovely experience and would definitely recommend it. 10 out of 10.More

This was a really fab place for a wonderful afternoon tea. It has a great ambience and the staff are friendly. A brilliant way to spend my birthday, and well worth upgrading to bottomless tea!

Myself and a friend came for afternoon tea and it was such a lovely experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We upgraded to unlimited tea so that we could try a variety of their different teas and they were all lovely! The food...was brilliant, the perfect amount and really good quality for the price. Was in Nottingham for work and was recommended this place for lunch. Such a cute and calm atmosphere. Wanted to write a review as the owners were really lovely and helped me pick a tea. They recommended the tea Ghost Town as I didn’t want...anything too sweet - it was delish!! Had a Country Ploughman’s sandwich and a brownie to eat and was all really yummy. Will deffo be coming back next time I’m in Nottingham :)More

I don't leave reviews but when businesses lie you really do need to for the sake of potential customers... Me and my family all came here for afternoon tea and we all left feeling underwhelmed. The grapes were mouldy as stated in the previous review...and your reply “one was on the turn” is just not true. At least 7/8 grapes had fur on, I presume you wash them before handing them out? The staff were stand off ish and the space crowded. (Reply will likely be patronising see below) However.. I do bet you can have a lovely afternoon here if you are dining for 2 and they carefully check the fruit, however at the cost of over £90 I wish I just hosted the event in my livingroom.More

We came here today for a baby shower. I had contacted in advance regarding dietary requirements for our Afternoon Tea and paid a £25 deposit. We arrived and it was very cramped. Not much room. For us to manoeuvre, especially our pregnant party. We ordered,...adding an extra hot chocolate and juice, which should have been an additional £9. (Expensive but it was a celebration). Our Afternoon Tea arrived. It was very cramped for space, not comfortable at all. The sandwiches were OK. The scones were lovely jam and cream served in old gu dessert pots. The other cakes were OK. The fruit however, we noticed was mouldy. I raised this and the staff member took it away. She said "it shouldn't be, it was off the delivery this morning." I did think they were very lucky to get Sunday deliveries, I also thought it strange that no real apology or replacement was offered. We finished the scones the decided to leave. I asked for the bill, but no bill arrived. A different staff member arrived with the card machine. Surprisingly we had to pay £96! I asked if this was with the deposit taken off and was told yes. The email said we would pay £79 on the day. With the extra, that should have only been £88. The staff member didn't present a paper bill and whe asked just said it was correct. Not wanting to spoil the celebrations, I just paid it. I can only presume they charged £8 for the too water?! Overall, it wasn't great. I wouldn't go back there are nicer Afternoon Teas in Nottingham for the same price, where there is more space and edible fruit.More

It’s not cheap, but worth every penny. Teas, cappuccino were delicious. All the food really good, but the husband/wife owners are delightful. Passionate about what they do and very welcoming. Thank you Trip Advisor for leading us here.

I love this place! I went there this week with my sister for afternoon tea. It was simply amazing! The place is quite small but beautifully decorated. They had scent bottles of the different teas. We had the bottomless tea and tried four, watermelon sugar,...salted caramel, LOVE blend and Jaffa cake. Everything was delicious. The sandwiches were delicious and the scones and biscuits too. There was also bits of fruit on the beautiful plata. I had written a review on another site giving them four stars and I was totally impressed that someone called my sister to discuss our review and apologise for a minor mistake that happened. Hence the totally deserved five star review. The place is lovely, good service and delicious food. What’s not to like? We even bought a sample of our favourite tea. Be sure to ask for the bundle of different teas so you could try them at home instead of buying just one. Yes, go to biscuit and brew, you deserve a treat! I’d go back there if I go to Nottingham again.More

Found this really lovely place whilst strolling through the city. Great to see another Independent restaurant/tea house pop up and this is especially good. An amazing selection of teas which is clearly a specialism and we will definitely be back to try some of these...(the chocolate digestive blend sounds awesome!). We had scrambled eggs which were excellent and such a big portion. The cakes and scones on display looked very appetising. Great service and a very warm welcome. Loved it!More
