feel awful, as i am a manager of a cafe, and understand that mistakes can happen. we came here for my best mates birthday, and we were so excited to come here! the staff was lovely, and the overall atmosphere was too. we ended up...waiting an hour just for our appetisers (i think our order got lost or something) staff were very apologetic and after she addressed the issue i think we were only waiting 15 mins after that. all our starters was lovely, and at that point we were all very excited for our mains. the mains came, and my friends both had the sticky sweet chilli chicken, i had lamb shank. the food again was nice. at this point we had to rush our mains as we had 2 hours of free parking, and the mains came out with about 25 mins to spare. the bill came to around £134 including 10% service charge which i don’t mind paying, but i think we were quite disappointed that there was no offer of another round of drinks, or our drinks or something knocked off the bill due to us waiting for so long. there was at least 3 groups who came after us and had left before we had our main. I’m not expecting free food, and would not mention at the time as from experience, i just feel awful complaining as i work in the industry myself. food was nice, staff was lovely, but when i payed £55 for 1 drink, 1 starter and my main and we waited for so long i just felt slightly disappointed. i know not every restaurant is the same, but where i work if someone is not happy with their food or an order is lost, we always knock something off the bill, even if they haven’t complained about their wait. this is not a bad review, more just some feedback. food was nice, but i wasn’t particularly wowed by itMore

Tamasha is my fav go to place and one I always choose. I have a recent cancer treatment and am still having chemo etc but decided to go for my birthday. We booked for 8 but weren’t seated until after 8:30 - I know it’s...tricky but I thought they put time limits on tables to avoid it. Was also disappointed that several of our drink choices were not available. Espresso martini, lifes a tamasha and my fav rum. Also steak not cooked right and dessert brought took ages and was wrong so more waiting. We still had a nice time and our waitress was good but I do think standards are dropping! Which is such a shame. On the positive the food we did eat was lovely!More

Fantastic breakfast. Delicious food and warm and friendly staff. Have visited several times for breakfast and dinner and consistently great food and warm , friendly atmosphere. Staff are great and very friendly. Max, Ruri and Cailan looked after our party and couldn’t have asked for...better service.More

We have frequented Tamasha on a number of occasions. Both the food and service are usually quite good, but neither can said about the most recent visit of Saturday 14 October 2023. The service was sloppy and the order came back wrong. Being asked if...we want new cutlery for the main or or use the same as the starter was odd. Failure to set the replacement cutlery, but randomly putting it on the table was disappointing. Likewise, the usual presentation of wipes was missing. Both my daughter and I were disappointed with the apparent lack of interest, sloppy service and inability to deliver the order (The salmon order came back as chicken). Dropping the plate on the table rather than placing it was was an interesting but unwelcome experience. The general consensus and conclusion were not up to scratchMore

Absolute belter of a restaurant, the food is tremendous the service is good and all the staff are very friendly. Will defo be visiting again.

Lovely restaurant food was different from other Indian restaurants but really enjoyed it had the scallops and chicken Katsu

It was a spontaneous visit. We were provided with a table for cocktails and snacks. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The cocktails were amazing. The food tasty and delicious. Well recommended as a restaurant and bar in the Mapperley area !. Thanks guys we’ll be...back soon !.More

I have been a few times at Tamasha grill breakfast was fantastic….. However, the last time I visited (Thursday 21st September 23) with my friend we were both looking forward to breakfast , it was her first time and she was very much looking forward...to having breakfast. The lady who gave us the menu when asking her “can we order breakfast” her response sorry no breakfast is served at 12:30 ……. We were confused asked again and she said breakfast is served early. So we ordered a main meal which was overpriced for salmon £24. Then once we paid the money, I asked again what time is breakfast served. She replied last order we take 1:30 We said we asked you at 12:30 Her reply sorry am new. This is not good enough Sorry! I do not leave bad reviews unless I have tried to solve the situation. Which I did TRY and TRY I rang numerous times I was told the manager would ring me No one rang me? ( I left my number with receptionist ) I rang again and the reception lady gave me the managers email. I sent her an email saying I wasn’t happy with the service explaining the situation. We wanted breakfast we came at correct time and it was the lady who gave the menu made an error. In which I would have liked an incentive of a discount plus apology at least from the manager. Because as a business customers should have TOP priority. I really do like the restaurant but the manager not getting back to me after several attempts, gives the business an unprofessional outlook. The way this has been dealt with is not good enough. Managers need be more pro active and contact customers when they request for a phone call. Also, new staff need to be trained, yes we all make mistakes but an apology would have been nice or even an incentive ? This has really put me off. Such a shame because customers should be valued at all times.More

Second time being disappointed . Appalling customer service . Had a birthday booking and after waiting 15 minutes was told to go for a drink and that they would text us . They never did so we ended up at the Chinese next door with...was absolutely delightful . Excellent service . Word of advice from another business owner without your customers you have nothing . This place needs a manager and someone in front of house all the time not been left out in the cold . Lucky enough didn’t ruin the birthday meal having gone next door . I would welcome the owners feedback .More

I can not fault the food presentation of this restaurant. We went for my daughters 21st. I will say the food was lovely but the Dynamite sauce was very creamy not even the slightest of spice more like corma mild. This was disappointing for me...however I would return in hope they forgot to add a key ingredientMore
