This is the third time we have eaten here. The staff are very attentive and helpful. We had the 2 course meal from the dinner menu. My husband had the fish starter and enjoyed it very much. I had the meat platter and also enjoyed it although I felt it could have done with a piece of bread with it.... More

We visited Jamie's Italian for lunch. It was pre booked online which was simple enough to do. We found the staff to be welcoming, they showed us to our table and took our order in a reasonable time after we had perused the menu. The waiter who just happened to be Italian was a friendly guy and nothing too much... More

Good service, good food. We were under pressure for an early dinner in order to catch a train out of Nottingham, following a tiring day of university visiting. Advised the waiter that we were under time pressure and our food (from the set menu) arrived on time and was hot and tasty. I had the calamari starter and steak to... More

'the Porkie' pizza was great . Went in the evening for dinner , we booked beforehand and we seated upstairs which was lovely. The place quickly filled up.

I have visited here a few times and never been totally satisfied with my visits which is unfortunate as I am a big Jamie fan. On my most recent visit it was on valentines night which was a coincidence as I was in the area. I ordered cauliflower soup with toasted focaccia to start and the focaccia was so hard... More

I'm glad i visited this restaurant however the food was a little lacking. The intimate atmosphere however made up for this. I ordered the penne carbonara and it was a little bland and it was not penne but closer to angel hair spaghetti. The drinks and the meal were also quite overpriced.

Hi Martin, Thank you for the review, and the feedback. I will let the chef know the carbonara was not seasoned correctly. We do serve it with spaghetti on the current menu (it has been with penne in the past) and can be penne on request. Sorry if you did not like this aspect of the dish. I hope the... More

I came to Jamie's Italian in early January with my wife and son as a spontaneous post-Christmas treat. We'd heard a lot of great things about Jamie's so we were all very excited about it. We were greeted and seated rather quickly which we were very happy about; we were worried there would be a long wait for a table.... More

We were in town shopping when we decided to pop to Jamie's for lunch. The decorations and design are great, the staff were also prompt and helpful. However the food was a disappointment, we had one of the specials and it was okay but such a small portion for a very high price, we all ended up getting dessert as... More
