You get what you expect for a cheap bar/restaurant. I got a piece of plastic in my salad even tho this did put me off my meal I went to the bar staff and showed them.. They were amazing and so apologetic I cannot slander them as they were fast and efficient in sorting out the probrolem and then explaining... More

Popped in for quick soft drink before meeting up the street. Stood at the bar for nearly 5 minutes before one of the customers (or off duty staff) shouted in back to say there was a customer. No apology for wait just 'what can I get you?' Asked for lemonade came back to bar topping up a red drink from... More

We popped in for a late lunch about 2:15pm on Saturday afternoon & both had steak & ale pie, chips & peas. The food itself was served quite quickly & was absolutely fine: chips well done & plenty of steak in the pies. The staff were polite, but clearly busy. There only appeared to be three on the ground floor... More

The building itself is quite impressive, especially the architecture upstairs, which leads to an outside terrace. I would have liked to have tried out the terrace, but it seemed that the whole smoking population of Nottingham had gathered there. The range of draught ciders was poor, Strongbow or nothing, so settled on a lager. Reasonable prices on food & drink,... More

Typical Yates bar. Came here for breakfast. Lots of choice, and reasonable prices. Option of the 'Even bigger breakfast' gives plenty of food for those of us with eyes bigger than our bellies! I'd go back if I was looking for food.

A friend and I called in for a drink whilst out shopping. Her first comment was "who has died?" The place was very gloomy and very quiet. We took a table which was extremely sticky and went to order a bottle of wine. We we're told it had to be served in a jug! Still it all goes down the... More

Popped in after the FA cup semis as the sun was shining over there 'beer garden' and the wives thought it was the next venue. So after the fish bowl martinis and a few wines we had all had a fantastic afternoon and Greg made sure we had a great time. Would definitely come back!

Didn't really like. Tele was blasting out. Too loud to talk. Beer served in plastic glasses. Just had a very unfriendly feel. Not for me thank u

Called in for something cheap and cheerful to eat on our two night break I have to say the food was nothing to shout about and you may as well save yourself some money and go burger king as at least it's eatable and clean there... Do yourself a favour eat elsewhere and just pop for a drink if you... More
