Went for lunch with my husband to Cherry Lane today . He had a Senior’s haddock n chips, his usual choice. I chose Beef Pie, chips, peas and red cabbage. Don’t know why they serve red cabbage?? Beef pie must have been the very last...offering which had been microwaved time n time again- pastry solid/concrete, begs n seasoned chips Ok. I would not have served the pie in such a state, I would’ve been so embarrassed!! Poor service which is such a shame!!More
Customer service was extremely poor . No help at all offered when clearly I had my hands full with a baby and toddler ( I’m the grandparent ) . I asked for help but the attitude from a young lady serving me was absolutely appalling
Waited twenty five minutes for a jacket potatoe for it to come out little bigger then a new potatoe, I will not bother again.
How can a cafe run out of chips? Had to re choose quickly and opted for bacon sandwich and the bacon was off - smelt disgusting. Staff were not helpful. Not the front of house staff’s fault but they are the ones at the coal...face.More
The last time I went to this garden centre was 25 years ago! It's got a lot bigger. We stopped for coffee and a cake and were pleased to see that there is a combination offer of coffee + cake for £4. Coffee was good,...cake was good. The staff were friendly and it was nice to see efforts were made discreetly to keep surfaces clean.More
We went here for Sunday Lunch. They do a carvery which looked very nice and very popular. It is situated in a garden centre which has a good selection of goods and well worth a visit. The cafe serves a good selection of meals and...sandwiches. The cakes looked very good too. Will visit here again thoroughly enjoyed our meal. There is a large car park.More
So this place is stuck in the 70s, for a short while a doggy area was designated and now again it is not! It's time this place caught up with all other garden centre cafes and allowed dogs.avoid if you are dig owner.
We had a wonderful breakfast here yesterday. The full English was just that - no budget sausage here thank goodness. My friend had Eggs Benedict that was wonderful apparently. Our drinks were hot and the water was fresh and cold. Friendly service even though they...were clearly very busy.More
My wife and I visited today to buy lawn food in the garden centre We went into Wellingtons for a coffee and ended up having a Sunday Carvery. A choice of three meats and I think ten veg plus gravy, all washed down with a...glass of red. Excellent value.More
We have been going here a few years now and it hasn't been the same since it had a refurbishment. The queue just to be served is a 20 minute wait, then another 5 to 10 minute wait for the drinks to be made. The...quality of food has declined so sadly this place is not our first choice any more to eat.More
Took a family group of 9 for a birthday breakfast. Good choice and food served quickly and was tasty and good value.
Went here for lunch today have been going for about eight years with my mum, the last three times we have visited there as been a steady decline in the quality and cooking of the meals today the chips were barely warm and the fried...eggs were cold they did replace the chips and the eggs but overall the meals have deteriorated quite a lot to what they used to be we will be crossing this off our places to visit for lunch.More
We have tried this cafe a couple of times - hoping that it would get better but sadly it hasn't, if anything it is getting worse. The garden centre is the usual type of thing but the cafe really lets it down. The biggest problem...is the staff - can't be bothered, no eye contact, gossiping to each other and ignoring customers - just generally as a customer you feel like you are in the way. The food is lacking as well - dry scones and toasted tea-cake that has barely seen the toaster - I could have browned it better with a candle. Maybe it has become to big and the staff can't cope but that is no excuse - it's a shame but I suppose it has something of a captive audience - the garden centre customers are already there so they feel they don't have to try. Sadly if we frequent the shop we will then be going home for our tea and cake or lunchesMore
My husband & I love our garden centre coffee shops and up until today Bradmore was one of our favourites for coffee & cake. We have always loved being able to have Kate's coffee walnut gateau or carrot cake, her yummy cornflake tart or butterscotch...tart but today......well, to say that we were disappointed would be an understatement! The coffee was still lovely but the choice of cakes were shocking!!!! Nothing appealed to me, all of it looked plastic and processed! I might as well have bought a cake from a supermarket and had it with coffee at home! What we did decide upon was both dry and tasteless! The appeal for us as connoisseurs of coffee and cake has been the great choice of homemade cakes with wholesome ingredients . Following coffee & cake we have always browsed in the garden centre and spent more money than we'd planned - well no more! We will drive a bit further and go to wheatcrofts where their cake although not as brilliant as Kate's is far superior to the new selection. We are so bitterly disappointed as the garden centre is but a stones throw from us. Badly done Wellingtons, badly done!!!!More
