My daughter has been wanting to go here for some time as she always has the short straw in restaurants being a vegetarian. Took her tonight and I have to say I was very disappointed with the food. The menu wasn't very imaginative for a start. Most dishes seemed to be falafel, hallumi or houmous based. I plumped for the... More

We stumbled upon the Subtone Society event at Alley Cafe Bar whilst out in Nottingham celebrating my birthday on Saturday night. It was brilliant! I had never been to Alley Cafe Bar before however I had always heard great things and I was not disappointed. Every one was so chilled out and just there to have a good time. The... More

I chose this place for our dinner on our first of two nights in Nottingham based on its TA rating as one of the best veggie places in town. It is a bit different to most places we frequent (slightly haphazard perhaps) and I can fully understand some of the concerns expressed by others, but the food proved to be... More

Went to Nottingham with my Vegan friend. Took a while to find it as it is hidden down an alley way! But once there it's a cute little world. Food was AMAZING! My friend said it was best vegan pizza he had ever had. Staff were friendly, it was really clean. Only down side is the size of the place.... More

A really charming place in a fun setting. The food was incredible and I couldn't recommend it enough. The pizzas and nachos were exquisite! Only difficulty is the size of the place. I wish it were bigger!

I became vegan a few weeks ago and as a consequence I have been exploring places to eat out. I'd been advised to try the Alley Cafe and I wasn't disappointed. The service was friendly and I didn't have to wait long for my food. The food was lovely, all cooked from fresh and locally sourced. The cafe's Eco credentials... More

This adorable cafe has an amazing selection of veggie and vegan options, but can be enjoyed by anyone. All the alcohol is also vegan, which is fantastic! Service can be slow due to the size of the place, and if there is a group of you, you're better off booking a table as there are not many. However, this adds... More

Being vegetarian its always a nice change to be able to choose anything on the menu! This was our first visit and we weren't disappointed. Cafe is very small, (maybe seats 20 or so) so could get quite cosy! It was quiet during our midweek visit which was nice. Nice lady serving, friendly but not too intrusive. Food was delicious...
